A holiday during the social distancing regime was something of an unknown quantity, but self-catering seemed an obvious option as you stay mostly in your family unit. We know Cornwall fairly well, and could choose activities we felt comfortable with and stay mostly outdoors.
Fowey never disappoints, it's such a stunning place with lovely shops and pubs, but this time we got to know it better and found lovely new things to do. The Esplanade was magical for quiet evening walks over to Readymoney Cove and St Catherine's Castle, with great views of the architecture, harbour and Polruan all the way.
Rosie was very convenient for Fowey, with a private shared garage. It was beautifully appointed and equipped, with just a few things missing (eg Hoover/dustpan) that we assumed had to be removed due to Covid.
The owners are just next door and are lovely, and had kindly left us a very nice and much appreciated bottle of wine in the fridge. Would thoroughly recommend this comfortable and homely cottage.
