Great getaway spot

This was the perfect spot for our 6 person weekend trip. The house was stocked with what we needed, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. It was only minutes away from main street shopping and wineries. Would definitely recommend.

Cozy & Fun

We stayed here for a bachelorette party! Pros of the property are: king size beds for comfortable sleeping arrangements, fully stocked kitchen and its cozy home feeling. Its location is amazing and we were able to walk to main street and no one had to drive! The only thing we felt could be better was the cleanliness of the property. However, we are all very big clean freaks so we point out things that a lot of people never see! Overall, I would recommend this property in a heart beat! It is a perfect group home for a fun weekend getaway.

Perfect for girl's weekend!

This place was a great for our family girl's weekend! We had plenty of space for sleeping and resting, and enjoyed playing games at the large kitchen table in the evenings. It was HOT outside during our stay, so we ended up driving to town; however, it is plenty close to walk when temperatures are not 100+ deg! Speaking of, the AC did a great job keeping the downstairs of the house nice and cool. The upstairs portion was a bit humid, but still plenty cool. The beds were SO comfortable! Great house and a good location!! I highly recommend!

Quaint, quiet and cozy

We stayed 3 nights with our friends. The house is darling and decorated very nice. The beds downstairs were comfy but soft and the linens were fabulous! The master bath was very nice and roomy. Plenty of towels but the soft white rug was full of grass burrs! Bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked. We made it work but, had we known, we would have brought paper towels, kleenex, foil and ziplocs. There is no dishwasher (we knew this) however there were only 2 hand towels and 1 roll of paper towels. We loved the outside deck with the firepit and lighting. It was breezy and we enjoyed sitting out there quite a bit. They do need to fix the door to the patio, it doesn't catch easily at all. I would stay here again because it was so cute and located just a couple of blocks from Main Street. Fredericksburg has so many sights and things to do, we love this town.

Amoraz Haus - Das Vogel

We were disappointed with some things about the house. The coffeemaker is not a Keurig as advertised. It brewed only 2 oz at a time so we had to go buy a bag of coffee. The oven and cooktop reeked when they were turned on and need to be cleaned. The outdoor grill did not have gas so we weren't able to cook what we planned. Overall we would not stay there again. We've used Gastehaus Schmidt for many years and expected better service than this.

A perfect spot and beautiful home

We had a bachelorette party in Fredericksburg and found this cute home to spend the weekend at. The home is absolutely beautiful. We all loved that it was so close to Mainstreet and we were able to walk to get breakfast each morning. It was such a beautiful home and if I ever come back to Fredericksburg with a big group again I will absolutely stay here. The only thing I would request is to please label the keys because we kept getting them wrong haha! Otherwise 10/10. The place was clean, it smelled nice and had great space for multiple people!

Great location

Great location, great beds, great patio outdoor space. However, the inside was inundated with what we call telephone bugs. Didn’t really bother us because we are country folks but someone else would have likely have not stayed. Other than that, it was a wonderful 26 year anniversary weekend.

We really enjoyed our time in Das Vogel Haus. The location is just about perfect, close to Main Street without being too loud. The house is really comfortable and our son loved having the upstairs room to himself.
