"The pictures on Vrbo are nowhere near the condition that it is in. I was embarrassed when I drove up, I said that is not what I reserved. The exterior is in very poor shape. The interior also has issues, the washer did not work, one toilet did not flush properly, there is rust in the shower of the small bathroom, the fan in the living area did not work, the outside deck light did not work, the window units did not keep the place cool for seven people. "I stay here almost every time I’m in Surfside. This isn’t a place for someone wanting fancy accommodations but if you’re wanting a place on/near the beach at an affordable price this place is great. Definitely could use some updating and overall maintenance but the rooms are clean and never seen bugs present in the room. One minute walk to the beach and the vehicle entrance is a block away."

"Floors in room were so filthy our toddler’s feet were black after walking on them for just a few minutes; we ended up cleaning them ourselves due to not trusting that staff would actually clean them if we asked. (The towel picture is the floor mat we used to dry the floor after using swiffer pads we bought to surface clean.) There was also hair all over the shower walls indicating the surfaces were not cleaned after the last guest left. Upon leaving, we stripped the beds of their linens and discovered most of the pillows were covered in mold, as well as one of the mattress protectors. Staff was made aware of the bedding situation but did not seem to care and was not apologetic about the situation."

"I have a little screwed perspective. I picked this property because I thought it was part of Wydahm, therefore a better quality hotel and having a continental breakfast available. This was a motel. There was info saying this is independently owned and operated. They locked the lobby at night (safety issues in the area???) I just didn't feel super safe and my family was irritated at me for picking it. And no real breakfast. Thankfully we got in around 10:30pm, just slept, and got up and went to the beach after. Didn't stay long. Pillows were squares... like they were old decorative pillows. Curtains were ripped at the top, light shown through in the morning. Room kind of smelled musty. Just not up to what I am used to."

"The property was wonderfully decorated, comfortable furniture, bathrooms were well appointed. Both decks had nice outdoor furniture. Location was easy walking distance to the beach. Very nice property, would definitely recommend it!!"

"We have stayed in many beach rental properties in Surfside and this is honestly one of our favorites. The location is great, with direct private beach access from the property and beautiful ocean views from the living room and primary bedroom.The home was impeccably clean, thoughtfully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed—from quality towels and bathroom essentials to a very well-stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, plus a convenient laundry room with washer and dryer. A big plus in Texas: the air conditioning worked perfectly and the zoned system kept the house very comfortable at all times.Every detail felt carefully considered for guests’ comfort. The outdoor spaces were especially wonderful, from the beautiful terrace to enjoy morning coffee at sunrise, to the downstairs grilling and dining area with its own full bathroom and shower—such a smart and convenient setup after the beach.The home is simply but tastefully decorated, very comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing beach getaway. We would absolutely love to come back."
