The house is in a truly idyllic location. You have a wonderful view of the valley on one side and the mountains on the other. As the pool is exposed to the sun all day long, it stays at a pleasant temperature. The whole outdoor area has been lovingly landscaped. The décor is charming and does justice to both the house and the region. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The kitchen is very well equipped. At last, the house was ultra clean - really thumbs up. Furthermore, some basic products in terms of a starter were available (tabs for dishwasher,...).
The internet is fast, but the jitter and, at times, the packet loss are extremely high, which – depending on the day – can make it impossible to use for video conferences (Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx). This may be due to the active extension of the cable run. If you need to work, you should bear this in mind.
The beds were a little too firm for my liking, but that’s a matter of personal preference. If you’re travelling with six people, we were only two, you should be aware that the upstairs bedroom is separated from the main room (the living room) only by a curtain. This might not be suitable for all situations.
Check-in and check-out went smoothly, as did communication.
You can walk to Frigiliana via a side path in about 1.5 km. It’s a lovely village with plenty of restaurants, although we only ate there once as it was a bit too touristy for our liking. Nerja is a 20-minute drive away. There you’ll find a large Mercadona, a butcher’s, and so on. The “sea view 3 km away” mentioned in the description may be accurate as the crow flies, but it’s actually about 9 km by road ;-) We were aware of this in advance.
