"The hotel is quite well-named; it really feels like the end of the world. Their dinner menu with a 17-euro three-course meal, aperitifs at 2.5 euros and a 50cl carafe of very drinkable wine at 6 euros made the place feel like a steal. HIghly recommended?"

"Superbe séjour.Très belle semaine à St-Flour dans une vaste propriété d'un calme absolu à deux pas de la ville et de tous les commerces essentiels. Maison tout confort, très clean et parfaitement équipée en tous domaines, tant à l'intérieur qu'en extérieurs, restée fraîche en pleine canicule et où chacun s'est senti chez lui dès le premier jour. Le grand garage a été un plus très appréciable pour loger et recharger les 4 VTTAE avec lesquels nous avons largement sillonné Planèze, gorges de la Truyère et Margeride.Contact très sympa avec la maman de Frédérique, ce qui ne gâte rien.Nous ne pouvons que recommander sans réserves cette magnifique location dans ce beau département du Cantal, qui, outre ses superbes paysages, offre un calme et une sérénité que les Annéciens que nous sommes ne trouvent plus dans leur cité dénaturée par le surtourisme."

"We booked this hotel very, very last minute as we had started to grow tired on the road. It was no problem at all and we were able to go straight to our room. The room was modern and comfortable and we slept really well . The doors do take a good push to close and are noisy when closing - but once the hotel had settled for the night it was a lovely calm environment. The village is very quaint and a self guided walking tour is suggested in the room which we would recommend that you do. The breakfast was phenomenal - even the yoghurt is home made. Downsides - if you book last minute you may not be able to eat at the restaurant and even if you book in advance you should reserve. There is no other places to eat a meal in the village. So having to drive out to another restaurant was a bit annoying after a long drive during the day. It would be good if maybe an option was available for weary travellers even if the full restaurant experience was not possible. Maybe a salad for you to eat in your room or at the outside tables? Equally - although the breakfast was excellent it is only served from 8:00 to 9:30 on a Sunday morning (probably to enable to team to prepare for a busy lunch service in the restaurant). It is a shame - especially since check out is 11am. Would still revisit if ever passing though. A lovely, none pretentious stop away a short drive from the A75."
