"My 18 year old daughter suddenly became available for a last minute family trip so I scrambled to find someplace that would accommodate myself, 13-year old son, my daughter and her boyfriend as well. I was lucky enough to find Harper’s Hangout! It was only 2-1/2 hour drive for us, offered enough privacy for everyone, AND we could bring our dog!When we arrived, it was super clean, the A/C was at a perfect temp, and it was as welcoming as can be! It is decorated very tastefully. I came prepared with paper products; however, none were needed as the home is extremely well stocked with what is needed for your stay.The extra 1/2 bath is a big bonus for a family stay, as is the washer/dryer and access to beach towels.While there aren’t a tremendous amount of shops in town, we definitely found enough to do in our 5-day stay. The beach was gorgeous, people were friendly everywhere we went, and we even found a dog park! We went horseback riding, played mini-golf, shopped, explored Port Austin, hiked, and ate alot of ice cream! The supermarket and Dollar General are both 5 minutes from the home and have pretty much everything you would need for cooking or any items you may have forgotten. I would definitely recommend Harper’s Hangout and would go back in the future!"

"The house was very clean. The neighborhood is very peaceful quiet. The back yard is HUGE. They provided yard games also! The fire pit is nice and big too. We have a 8 and 10 year old and they had good time. They played outside and we didn’t have to “worry” about them. The beach is a short walk to a private beach. It was a fun vacation and nice home! We recommend and give it a 10/10!!! "

"Such a great property along the lake. Perfect location right between Caseville and Port Austin, each with plenty to see and do. Wonderful views of sunset from the main living room as well as the 2nd floor suite. Easy beach access (small staircase with hand rails) to a wonderful, sandy and shallow beach. Plenty of space for our group of 9. Quick responses ahead of stay to all my random questions and quick responses during our stay for some minor issues that were resolved promptly. Property also has some smaller units that I’m sure could be booked to accommodate larger groups. Plenty of outdoor seating and space to enjoy without feeling crowded. We would definitely recommend this property and will definitely keep it in mind if staying in the area again"
