“One of three days water in entire building was shut off. Had to wait for several hours for water to return. Though Owner and family are very nice people”

“Close to restaurants and ferry. However our “beach view” was completely obstructed and the bathrooms had mold all over the ceilings. This was the only Hostal we stayed in that did not have water for us to refill our bottles. They did have a store to buy a few items. My daughter forgot her earphones and they flagged us down to let us know which was really nice. The property needs some serious work. I paid more for the ocean views from the patio but wasn’t able to see it at all. ”

“The room had not been cleaned very well, as there were sweet wrappers on the floor by the side of the bed. The towels appeared to have been washed but smelt VERY bad, as if they had been put away while still very damp. We saw no hot water come out of the taps for the first 24 hours of our stay, despite trying periodically. We eventually had a brief bit of hot water but it only lasted long enough for my wife to have a shower. Mine was cold. And worst of all, they were over booked for our second……

“After we finally got checked in, turned the AC on and it was not cold. Owner told me it would cool down and to let her know if I didn't need it "cold like hers (friend's room) I would be fine but I could switch it in the morning. Let me be clear, the AC did not work AT ALL and when we returned it was hotter in the room than outside at 9pm. Couldn't open the windows or doors because the of the mosquitoes. The owner was not on site, so I ended up having to share the room with my friend instead of……

“Hotel is very comfortable, nice to be in, a very good breakfast, and a caring staff. The hotel is well maintained. It was our best of 3 hotels while in the Galapagos. We would stay again in a heartbeat.”

“Amazing! A block to the beautiful beach! Restaurants right out the door! The most delicious and beautiful breakfast on the islands included! Jose is a wonderful host, the personality here matches the beauty of Isabela. So sweet. We even enjoyed just hanging out on the front porch watching Island life. Walk to food markets, and even a local food court nearby (don’t skip the bakery, Panaderia). We didn’t want to leave Isabela or Jose’s, La Gran Tortuga!”

“Falta seriedad en la reserva de habitaciones, reservé con mucho tiempo y la primera noche me dieron una muy por debajo de la que pagué, si no reclamaba seguro me dejaban en esa. Me cambiaron al día siguiente con una explicación poco creíble de falla del sistema. ”

“Shower does not drain, mold in shower. Insects and water in room due to poor windows. Wifi was poor but the staff fixed that, the breakfast was excellent. The staff were helpful when you can find them.”

“Nice place to stay, close to restaurants and with very friendly staff. They also offer breakfast if ordered the night before. The only problem for me was the shower, it got so hot mid shower that it burned my foot, so you have to keep an eye on it, my family was ok. ”

“Really nice place to stay, very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The food was excellent. Good advice and booking for tours. Location is a short walk from main centre, a few mins, but that makes it nice and quiet. Close to harbour so easy access from ferry.”
