Located on the beach with incredible views of the sea. From the living room-kitchen it seems that you are on a boat through the large windows that allow you to enjoy the sound and the views of the best waves in the world for bodyboar. Composed of living room, dining room, equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, dishwasher, ceramic hob, fridge, espresso machine, washing machine and dryer). Three rooms: Master bedroom with two single beds and dressing room and sea views. Second bedroom: Double bed of 1,50cm and third bedroom with two single beds. The bathrooms are very spacious, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub. In one part of the room there are two large and comfortable sofa beds.
The views, the location of the house, the spaciousness of the house allows us to accommodate 10 guests very comfortably

Der Blick aus der Unterkunft aufs Meer war sehr schön, die Ausstattung in Ordnung. Die Betten waren bequem, die Bettdecken für Februar für uns allerdings zu dünn. Es war leider schwierig, teils unmöglich, mit der Gastgeberin Lösungen für Probleme und Anfragen zu erhalten, so dass wir das am Ende aufgaben, um uns vor und im Urlaub nicht weiter zu ärgern. Hier würde man sich mehr Freundlichkeit und Kompromissbereitschaft wünschen, die wir unterseits gezeigt haben, indem wir der Forderung, eine Stunde vor Buchungsende abzureisen, schließlich gefolgt sind. Hier hat man sich als Gast leider nicht freundlich empfangen gefühlt, wie wir es sonst kennen, alles lief schriftlich ab, obwohl die Gastgeberin vor Ort war und somit ein direkter Kontakt beim einchecken durchaus möglich gewesen wäre.

Ein tolles Appartemen mit einem fantastischen Blick aufs Meer

Das Appartment hat grds. 3 Zimmer, wobei das dritte Zimmer nicht zugänglich ist, wenn man nur zu zweit bucht. Alles war sehr sauber. Ein Schlafzimmer hat keine Fenster, sondern wir zu einem Lichtschcht hin belüftet. Das zweite Zimmer hat große Fenster zum Wohnzimmer (mit Jalousien). Das Wohn-/Esszimmer/Küche hat eine große Fensterfront. Meer und Wellen und Brandung rund um die Uhr. Bei jedem Wetter klasse. Wenn die Fenster zu sind ist das Geräusch nicht störend (für die Lärmempfindlichen). Wenn man ein Anliegen hatte, war Irene kurzfristig erreichbar. In der Umgebung gibt es einen Imbiss und ein schönes Restaurant direkt am Meer. Der Strand ist fußläufig, war aber wegen der Wellen (3 Meter +) für Schwimmen verboten. Es gibt aber zwei Meerwasserbecken fast direkt vorm Haus, die baulich vom Meer abgetrennt sind, so dass man trotzdem jeder Zeit gut ins Wasser und auch Schwimmen kann. Auch bei Flut gut möglich. Wenn man nicht auf Massentourismus steht oder Surfen oder Bodyboarding als Hobby hat, ust man hier absolut richtig. Man braucht jedoch ein Auto, weil die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Galdar fußläufig drei-vier KM bergauf weg sind. Bus gibt es jedenfalls im Winter nicht. Uns hat es jedenfalls erstklassig gefallen.

Nice views but could use some refurbishing

The views through the main windows are delightful, as is the sound of the waves as they roll in. Other noteworthy points: the twin beds in the master bedroom as well as the double bed in the middle bedroom are quite comfortable; however, those in the 3rd bedroom (closest to the door) are not; the TV is a smart tv so you can get Netflix and Amazon Prime (if you have accounts); the refrigerator and freezer are nice and large. But on the whole we found the apartment to be a bit overpriced. Several things could be replaced, such as the dining room chairs (which are really just folding outdoor seats, and they are not very comfortable). Also, the electricity cuts off in the whole apartment every time the oven is switched on (the owner, who is very pleasant, is aware of this and looking into it), the dish towels are threadbare, both of the corkscrews are broken, there are only 2 wine glasses, etc. As for Gran Canaria itself, the inner part of the island is lovely and even more scenic than Tenerife, in our opinion, but there are more swimmable, sandy beaches on Tenerife. Also, getting to those scenic inner parts of the island can be rather unpleasant – the mountain roads are narrow and winding, and there is often someone 2 meters behind you, honking at you unless you drive at unsafe speeds.

Wellen, Wellen und noch mehr Wellen

Die Lage verdient zwei Betrachtungen: direkt an der Promenade 4 m oberhalb der Meeresfront ist für Wellenliebhaber wie uns nur toll! Die Geräusche sind auch bei geschlossenen Fenster gut zu hören🥰 - wer das nicht mag wird schlecht schlafen. Es handelt sich NICHT wie angegeben um ein Haus sondern ein Appartment mit noch zusätzlich kleinem 1 Zimmer App dirket angrenzend sowie einer Wohnung darüber. Spez das 1Zimmer App direket daneben teilt sich den gleichen Innenraum für Toilette/Bad - Geräusche technisch fühlt man sich teils wie auf einer Gemeinschafttoilette oder Dusche🙈 Der Zugang erfolgt durch eine Vorhalle /Garage mit Rolltor die auch genutzt wird. Sobald ein Auto dort geparkt wird ziehen die Abgase je nach Windrichtung dirket in die Wohnung weiter. Bei offen Fenster aber schnell weg. Die Lage selbst ist nur sinnvoll mit Auto - es gibt eine kleinen Imbiss (wechselnde Öffnungszeiten) und ein etwas höherpreisiges Restaurant. Das wars - für alles andere muss man einige Kilometer fahren. Wir fanden am Anfang einen Duft von Lavendel vor - war der von einem Insektenspray - da wir dies nicht nutzten waren viele Ameisen einen Tag später im Küchen / Wohnbereich. Da wir aus gesundheitlichen Gründen keine Gift versprühen wollten das wir auch einatmen haben wir Ameisenköderboxen gekauft (enthalten ein Kontaktgift da wir aber so nicht abbekommen). Damit war dann bald den Ameisen Einhalt geboten. Haben nur das Hauptschlafzimmer genutzt. Sind 2 Einzelbetten die man zwar aneinanderschieben kann aber einen breiten Rand haben so das keine einheitliche Liegefläche entsteht sondern gut 10cm breiter Spalt. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist nur ein Queenbett - haben wir nicht genutzt. Das dritte Zimmer war verschlossen - wurde aber auch nicht benötigt. Leider ist die Gegend gerade wohl im Aufbruch für mehr Touristen - mit Baulärm ist drumherum generell zu rechnen - bei uns leider da direkt angebaute Haus neben Schlafzimmer... so war teils Mittagsschlaf nur mit Ohrstöpsel möglich. Da auch mal an frühem Samstag haben wir Irene (Vermieterin) in Kenntnis gesetzt- sie hat dann dafür gesorgt das es aufhörte und für zukünftig größere/ lautere Arbeiten erst Mittags angefangen wurde. Die Parkplatzsituation ist tageweise und am Wochenende deutlich angespannt - es gibt keinen dirket zu geordneten Parkplatz sondern nur Bereiche vor dem Haus für alle. An einem Wochenende war Bodyboard Meisterschaft - hatteb nur weit entfernt am Strand einen Platz gefunden.

Amazing view

Irene's apartment is a beautiful apartment, well equiped, very confortable, and with an amazing view on the ocean, and less than 50m from a natural swimming pool. Irene is a lovely host, who was very helpful, and very attentive when we arrived. She offered to book a restaurant for us (as we were arriving late in Galdar, and with the sanitory restrictions). Galdar is only a few minutes drive from El Agujero, so very easy for restaurants and groceries. We spent a very relaxed time in Irene's apartment, and the ocean view was so welcomed after such difficult months. Thank you for such a warm hospitality and we wish all the best to Irene.

Very nice spacious apartment close to the sea where surfing was ongoing daily. With a local grocery store nearby every thing would be perfect.

Great place,great accommodation and great host.

We arrived the island for the first time , have a bit problem to find the place( because the rental cars GPS is so terrible ) . As soon as we are inside the flat , we fell like we are in paradise . Great view from living room with seaside, very small town but local are really nice. Although major attractions are in south side of the island , but we enjoy the quite and privacy of the who holiday and peaceful vacation ever. A big shopping center and supermarket less than 30 minutes drive. Beautiful beach 5 minutes walk away(but not swimable due to the weather and wind ) , but sea water pool right infront of the flat which easy for accesses. One of the best accommodation we ever been , good size room , lovely rooms . A few suggestions, locks for each bathroom, also maybe more power for water heater , therefore we don’t need to wait for water heat up between each showers. We have 11 people stay in accommodation, 5 children and 6 adults , does not feel crowed at all. We will come back again for sure and once again thanks for everything .
