Fabulous Long Weekend

This is a beautiful home and property! We had a fantastic long weekend with 5 couples. Great beds & bedrooms, bathrooms, hot tub, deck area and screened porch! Would definitely stay again!

Grandparents, kids, grandkids weekend getaway!

Loved the house. Close to everything, the 3 levels and bathroom for each bedroom was perfect for our large family. Everyone loved the game table, pool table and hot tub. The giant kitchen table was great for our dinners and board game nights. Would stay here again.

Great house for our family weekend

The house worked great for our family. Loved the outdoor space with the hot tub, fire pit, deck and large lawn for playing games. We took advantage of the outdoor pool at the owner’s club, which was perfect for a hot weekend with the kids. Overall great location for our family.

Plenty of Room

Loved the big yard and the extended driveway. It gave the Grandkids plenty of room to play without us having to worry about anything. Rooms were nice and spacious as well. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

Nice stay. Plenty of room for a large gathering of friends for a Galena wedding. We loved that there were bathrooms for all. Well equipped place and warm hot tub. Thanks! We hope to come back.

Cousins Weekend

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at the house. We took a walk on the golf course path, enjoyed the shops in Galena and went to Mass at St. Mary’s. We had a great time. The house was clean and spacious - perfect for our group.

Fantastic home for a family of 10!

Very clean and spacious. The house was perfect for our family giving us enough space to spread out and have some privacy while having great places to gather. Loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire pit…so many stars in the dark sky. We even saw a hot air balloon go by.

Our weekend getaway

This place was absolutely gorgeous. Our house was perfect for our situation. Every bedroom had its own bathroom which was great for our group. Great location and view of the 16th hole of the south course. We loved the deck and hot tub and made use of the grill. The weather didn't allow us to use the fire pit in the back but definitely would have otherwise.

Large house- great location

The property was perfect for our large group. It’s in a great location too. It’s convenient to go into town and feels like you have lots of privacy at the house. There are golf courses everywhere and we took advantage of going to the owner’s club and swimming, playing basketball, and using the fitness center. Everyone had their own bathroom and there are places to eat on the deck and inside. The hot tub was also an appreciated perk. Overall, it was a great experience.

Perfect stay for our family!

My family of 7 adults and 4 kids loved our 4 day stay! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own; big plus! The gaming device downstairs was a hit with the kiddos. Plenty of outdoor space around the house as well. The kids loved riding their scooters on the driveway. Nice quick drive to the owners club where we all enjoyed the pool and workout facility. Only downfall was the refrigerator space. Would have loved an additional one downstairs for overflow food and drinks.

Perfect layout for 3 families

The layout was perfect for 3 families with 4 children ages 2-6. There was enough seating for the 10 of us on the deck. The children enjoyed the pool and big yard. S'mores was a hit with the firewood that was supplied. There was plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles. The exterior was in the stage of remodeling and the outside landscape needed some TLC, but this was no hinderance to the children playing outside. Also, be aware that there is an extra cleaning fee if you stay 5 nights or longer. Overall, the house worked great for us.

Fantastic Place for a Senior Cousins Reunion!

We had 9 active seniors 60 to 71 stay at the house for 5 days and we thought it was amazing! We enjoyed every bit of the property, as well as the Eagle Ridge Resort Marina (Pontoon Boat and Pickle Ball) and Pickle Ball courts at the Resort Lodge The beds were comfy (although the master mattress was showing signs of denting) Plenty of dishes, cookware and silverware...dishwasher was great! Plenty of hot water for showers and baths. Drove into Galena a number of times and the drive was only about 15 minutes. Each day we walked a mile around Longwood Drive and there were trails all around. We loved how private the house was within the neighborhood...and the stars at night were magnificent!

The location is excellent away from noise and crowds with a peaceful view of trees and birds singing. The fire pit with a good supply of wood provided a family setting to chat and relax. The hot tub was a welcome warm comfortable restful amenity. The game room was fun for all with a special video game console to play a number of choice games and a pool table. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms gave space and room to provide privacy and comfort for 10. The house is well maintained and had anything needed for kitchen and seating of 10. The screened porch was an excellent gathering place to chat and listen to songbirds in the morning. Highly recommended and this was our second year to stay here.

Wonderful Stay at 59 Longwood

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for our extended family of nine. Loved the hot tub and games downstairs as well as the Owner's Club. By the way, take along some beach towels because the Owner's Club doesn't provide them. Glad we did. Highly recommend the Mississippi River Museum in Dubuque. We took our grandkids there and they loved it. The Log Cabin was elegant. Chestnut Mountain restaurant had a view to die for. The kids loved the Alpine slide and Zip Line. The big kids used the golf courses nearby, but also went to neighboring town's golf course. Less pricey. I found the people at Owner's Club very friendly. We did water aerobics in early morning and enjoyed the quiet of the pool without so many people.

Friends Reunion

The home was so clean and spacious, plenty of room for all of us to gather and visit. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was a nice bonus. Parking has always been an issue for us when renting but this location offered ample parking for all of our cars. We can’t wait to come back!
