Vintage hotel with limited amenities like no a/c, and tiny rooms but also lots of charm in style of old west and Hollywood icons who stayed there when shooting movies in the area. Dozens of autographed photos on walls of two story lobby plus attached restaurant and gift shop. Quirky but different than your usual inns if you can put up with room bathroom about the size of a restroom on an airplane

Quaint, quiet and most of all, very comfortable beds. Pictures abound the walls of celebs that have visited the El Rancho and to think I stayed in the same hotel that many of them had at one time. They had a fantastic gift shop there, a nice bar and a great restaurant on site. Highly recommended.

Would have been nice to know that we would not be staying in the original hotel but was put in a room in the hotel across from the El Rancho. Should have been given the choice when we reserved the room.

This is a wonderful, nostalgic property, full of mementos and photos from the era when Western movies were filmed in the area and the stars used the hotel as their home base. It has been well and creatively modernized. The restaurant has great service and the food is so good, that it attracts the local people as well as the hotel guests. We loved our stay at the Hotel el Rancho.
