The host was great to work with. The house is great! Everything that we needed was there. The master bath has double showerheads in the shower...amazing shower! The back porch was great to have our morning cup of coffee and relax. The Strand is about 4 blocks away, definitely within walking distance. About 2 blocks away is a great little Mexican food restaurant with great Tex-Mex flavor. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this house. It was exactly what we needed. It was very quiet, clean, and much more spacious than it looks from the front. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were cold. There are mini splits in the rooms upstairs. This house is a historic gem with modern touches. I wish there was more info on the history of the home. We have never stayed in a historic home and found it fascinating. We will definitely stay here again. The strand was only a few minutes walk. It’s quicker to walk than try to find parking if there’s an event. My only complaint was the water took a minute to warm up, but considering the house survived the Hurricane of 1900, this is an awesome listing.

This home was even more amazing and beautiful in person! It was so comfortable and it really felt like a home away from home, very spacious and had everything we needed. The host was very helpful as he replied quickly and answered all my questions. My kids and I really enjoyed this home, we will definitely return.

Clean and renovated historic home

Great home, would love to stay again. Very clean, new comfortable mattresses (firm), and a quiet location away from the chaos down closer to the beach, but less than a 5 min drive. Kitchen stocked with all we needed. HVAC worked great and kept home at a good temp, althoigh the fan blower downstairs although is extremely loud and near the master. However we love the white noise, could be a problem for some who like it quiet. Thermostat has a setting that can let you run the fan while sleeping, which was a must. This would be my only call out to others but actually worked in our favor since we actually prefer white noise to sleep.
