SPECTACULAR!!

This Terramar Bay House is just wonderful! We visited for a long Easter weekend (Thurs - Mon) with my brother and sister-in-law, their toddler, and our two 13 year olds. The home is decorated beautifully and designed so that two families can be split for privacy. The "main area" is comprised of the entrance/living/dining/kitchen, a hallway bathroom and a queen/twin room to the right that the boys slept in while upstairs is the beautiful 4-poster king primary overlooking the bay with a private porch. To the right, across the screened in outdoor fun area with a gaming table and sitting area, is a second primary and bath and another bedroom with a queen and bunk beds, perfect for kids. The view is amazing as it sits on an estuary across from a nature preserve. Off the house's boat dock and large deck we had a great time fishing, relaxing, and laughing. The first night was a feeding frenzy of minnows, croakers, birds, sheepshead, etc followed by a clear sky full of stars. The house is also directly across from a public access beach, where we had a blast boogie boarding and wave jumping. You can rent golf carts down the street. We ate delicious fried shrimp every day at the close by West End Marina. HIGHLY recommended and we will be back! Much thank you to the owners for such a lovely time.

Was told there was a boat lift to use…. LIES

We recently stayed at this property and had a mixed experience. The house itself is nice and the views are absolutely beautiful. However, our stay was marred by several issues that detracted from our overall enjoyment. Prior to booking, I specifically inquired three times about the availability of the boat lift, which was a crucial factor for our decision. I was assured each time that it was available. Upon arrival, we were informed that the boat lift was not available to use and the owners do not allow renters to use the boat lift. After sending proof to the host and her speaking to the owners they still decided that we were not to use the boat lift. This was one of the only reason we choose this listing. Despite receiving a $300 refund after expressing our dissatisfaction, the inconvenience of having to manually launch and retrieve our boat from salt water was significant. Also, during the stay they mowed the lawn and grass and other debris was in the boat. This refund did not nearly cover the cost or hassle of not having the promised boat lift. Additionally, we encountered issues with other amenities. We were told there was a $35 fee for marina access and $35 for the pool. However, getting access to the pool was a challenge due to incorrect codes provided for the lock box. It was actually just one fob that opened both the marina and pool which meant we did not need to pay $70 we only needed to pay$35. This lack of clear communication was frustrating.
