“This is a nice location with plenty of activities to amuse us. We fished in the morning, hiked, and did some sightseeing. Deer were everywhere! Our cabin was roomy, clean and very pleasant. Our host put out a lovely coffee bar, and the kitchen is well stocked. It was like visiting a friend. The one negative is small - the shower is small. I didn’t care but if you are a large person it might be a squeeze. The king sized bed was comfortable; the room had tons of space to put our things. The……

“Entry to the room meant walking thru a wide 1/2 grass 1/2 mud backyard in the dark due to our 8 pm arrival! This meant of course, carrying a large suitcase rather than being able to use the wheels. For this reason, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it ”

“We chose this property for its proximity to Great Sand Dunes National Park, relying on the Expedia listing that promised A/C and a washer/dryer. Unfortunately, the house was very hot upon arrival, and the washer was broken. We had two main issues: Broken Washer: The washer was the primary reason we rented a house instead of a hotel. The owner later revealed a previous guest broke it, and they were unable to fix it. However, they failed to warn us in advance so we could make other laundry……

“Overall it was solid and I would definitely stay again. Beautiful views and nice little town in the middle of nowhere. Just a heads up if you are showing up at night it’s a little hard to find. The only reason I didn’t rate it 10/10 is the floors had chunks of mud when we got there and could’ve been cleaned better. Otherwise everything was great!”

“Overall our stay was very enjoyable and the location of the property is super. Walking distance to just about everything. It was quiet and comfortable. While the overall cleanliness was good, the absence of a dishwasher was evident in some of the dishes. Having said as much I tend to be overly picky in that regard but still felt I would not go with a five star rating. This would not prevent us from rebooking this cute place should we find ourselves back in Westcliffe.”
