Bring your friends and family! This charming log cabin nestled in the woods is the go-to choice for a peaceful getaway :) Enjoy serene mountain views, soak in the bubbling hot tub and have a blast in the loft with an arcade and foosball table!

Comfortably sleep 4 in this 2 bed 1 bath cabin (1 of the bedrooms is the open loft). Master bedroom has 1 king bed and a newly renovated shower in the en-suite. Loft has a queen-sized bed.

Right around the corner from the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts District and close to so many restaurants and shops! 15 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg, 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge, 20 minutes to Dollywood, and 25 minutes to the GSMNP's Sugarland visitor center. Tons of privacy yet so close to all the attractions!

Guests have access to the entire cabin.

Welcome to our cabin: Mountain Mama. Gather your family and friends and enjoy the beautiful wooded views, grill up some deliciousness, enjoy a few rounds of classic arcade games, and end your night with a long soak in the outdoor hot tub! Want to head out and explore? We're right around the corner to the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts District and close to so many restaurants and shops :)

Our 2 bed 1 bath cabin (1 of the bedrooms is the open loft) sleeps a total of 4 guests throughout 2 levels.

***FIREPLACE: Fireplaces will be shut from April - October for the summer season.

***Our outdoor BBQ grill uses a propane tank. Guests who would like to use the grill are responsible for refilling the tank if empty upon arrival.

**Because we are in the mountains, there is always the possibility of seeing bears, raccoons, and other wildlife around the cabin or even on the porch/yard. Please be careful not to leave any food/drinks/coolers/trash/etc outside or in your car, and do not approach wildlife. By renting our property, you assume all responsibility for damages, injury and risk to yourself and underage persons.

I won’t stay there again

I haven’t wrote a review before that wasn’t honest and I can’t start now. This was my third time renting cabins in Gatlinburg. There are good things about this place: 1. The location was convenient, out of town but too far. Nice and quiet. Lots of bear sightings and even one right in the cabin yard. Very cool!2. The host is very responsive and friendly. 3. There is a view but it isn’t spectacular. 4. The shower is nice and has good water pressure and lots of hot water.5. The air conditioner was good and worked well. There are not great experiences with the rental: 1. It’s smaller than it looks. Our family of 4 couldn’t sit together in the living room. Kitchen table was tight. 2. Clean only on the surface. Most areas were cleanish but corners were cut in obvious places. Dead bugs in windows, windows and doors were dirty, lip of counters dusty and dirty, ring inside toilet bowl. Blinds were destroyed and inoperable.3. The only bathroom is in the master suite so my teenage boys had to go through my bedroom to use the bathroom.4. The door keypad batteries were low and we were locked out at 10:30pm. I messaged the host who replied fairly quickly and gave me the code for the key. 5. The hot tub worked but barely. It’s in poor shape. 6. Bed bugs. I was bit by bed bugs in the king bed. I did tell the host and she said they will take care of that ASAP. 7. King mattress: The bed was very cheap and uncomfortable and has a visible sag in the middle and one side.

Nice But Not As Expected

The location was nice, but it was not quite as described. I purposely chose THIS location because most I had been looking at had close by cabins, I thought this one did not, but after arriving and looking thru the photos again, I discovered that product placements, angles of the photos and the tree coverage covered the fact that there were cabins right next to us. The deck was nice, but the patio furniture was rusted and there were no outdoor lights on the side of the deck that the table was on, the only side of the porch with lighting was the front and it was not private as there was another cabin right next door. The hot tub was over full and when we got in, water went all over the deck, and one of the knobs floated off into the hot tub. The light in the hot tub and half the jets did not work either, but it was still usable and it was clean, we could smell the chlorine. There was ONE wine glass, ONE champagne glass and a lot of mismatched cups, mugs, plates, etc. So yes, there were things to eat off and drink out of, but we had to search for the things we needed, and had to improvise. The arcade machine did not work, we did not intend to use it but had we, we would have been disappointed as this is one of the things shown on the website. The place wasn't very clean either and no cleaning product to be found. When I sent pics to the host after, she said sorry but I guess what bothered me most was she never checked on us th entire time we were there to ask how we were doing.

Comfortable cabin in a relatively convenient location.

This was a nice property that we will definitely return to! We’ve stayed in several properties around Gatlinburg but this was the first time we’ve stayed in this particular area. We actually enjoyed being in the “calmer” end of the Parkway, and if you’re scared to drive on steep, mountain terrain, this would be a good property for you as the drive up isn’t as bad as some! As far as location and practical destinations—it is about 5 minutes from Dollar General/Subway/McDonald’s and 10 minutes from Food City. It’s right off the Arts and Crafts Loop, about 15 minutes from the Aquarium, and 25 minutes from Sugarlands Visitor Center. The cabin itself was clean and welcoming. Some of the items pictured in the listing weren’t available upon arrival but no deal breakers (nice blankets, tray, etc.). The kitchen was sufficient but needs some additional items like a cutting board, baking sheet, etc. There are a few pots and pans but not the best if you’re used to cooking. It’s mostly updated and nice but certain things like both faucets were old and outdated. Don’t let these things deter you, though, just be aware so that you can plan ahead. Overall, it’s a nice, comfortable home away from home. The house is very clean and should meet all your basic needs. Washer and dryer worked well, and the arcade and foosball were fun for all of us! The beds were comfortable enough, and the hot tub seemed a little old but well-functioning. The host was great with communication & check-in was easy!

Fantastic stay!

The cabin and the view was beautiful! While it was too hot to use the hot tub, the other amenities were amazing! The grill was easy to use and every other aspect was pristine. Highly recommend mountain mama!

Great stay for our family

The location was perfect directly between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We were never farther then 25-30 minutes from either city or the national park. The Mountain View was great we barbecued and ate on the deck many evenings.

Gatlinburg Cabin in the Woods

Cabin was as pictured and described. All the linens had an odor and needed to be washed. (They only supplied 1 washing machine detergent packet). After booking we received an email stating that even though we booked for 5 nights, the cabin would only be supplied with 2-3 days of the basics (2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 small rolls paper towels, 2 dishwasher pods, 1 load washing machine detergent packet) in order to “help the environment”. I was shocked because normally these items are included. They should state these exceptions in their listing.
