"Great location. The property was nice and rooms were large. Our room was out if body wash and did not have a xtra toilet paper nor did it have toothpaste but my fault for forgetting it.
There was a large amount of dust on top of our fridge and areas behind tv etc. The pool was refreshing but small, we found a nasty spider and a fly in it and if there are kids in it the room echos so loud that we had to leave. Staff was awesome but breakfast left a bit to be desired. Eggs were made with what tasted like a whole cup of salt and there wasn’t a lot to choose from. Just eggs and hash, bananas and waffles. No cereal or anything.
But for the price I’d stay again!"
"Room was ok and clean but not too much the bath and it needs more maintenance! Looks very old
Staff was ok, the girl at the reception sems to pick up a garbage bag with a dozen of bagels that fell down to the floor, I hope she took the bag to recycle them for herself and not for the customers! Unfortunately I could not record her and complain!"
"The room was small but quiet. Bathroom was spotless and sizable. Great locale (close to shopping and major highways but far enough away that you are not kept up at night) Breakfast was diversified with many choices.
We checked in to this hotel though cause it had a hot tub that we needed bad. The hot tub was on the fritz and was inhabited with underage kids both days. That needs to be monitored and done away with.
Jerusalem Cruisers in the dining area is atrocious. Shoes with enclosed toes and heels is preferred. This is not Walmart nor is it your house. Be courteous of others and ditch the hooker heels and flip flops."
Holiday Inn Express Rochester - University Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. Everything smelled good, no funky hotel odors. The bathrooms were spotless. The breakfast was a little lackluster. Powdered eggs, pancake machine, rewarmed frozen sausages, pastries. They do have EV charging, but it is the slow charger and pretty expensive. The a/c was a little on the noisy side, but it sure did make the room cold. But then the warm beds were just right. The pool was ok."
Comfort Suites Rochester Henrietta University Area
8/10 Good
"We stayed locally for 2 days while our bathroom was remodeled. The price rate was exceptional and location was convenient off the expressway. The room was clean and maintained. A few holes in the walls but they look recent. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. Pool was good but was closed for a brief period, probably to clean it. Parking was difficult due to paving being done but that shows they are maintaining the property which i can respect. Breakfast was good and selection was pretty decent. Overall my family of 4 had a good stay and will likely come back even if just to beat the heat and enjoy the pool."
