Hotel had free ice, and was in a great location. Quiet when sleeping, comfortable bed and they provided many pillows. Also walkable to many places including the train station. Great place to stay for a few nights.

Positives: Good location, very near the train station and northern side of Geneva with lots of restaurants and the lively part of the city. Easy 10-15 minute walk to old town. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Geneva is a wonderful city. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet - I hardly heard anything from within or outside the hotel. The room was a good size with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was an OK size with good shelf space. The staff were fairly friendly and professional. Breakfast was very nice with a good continental selection. There were good eating options nearby. Also there were supermarkets, souvenier and other shops on the main road. The property is about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk to the lake. There is a tram station nearby which goes to the UN headquarters or into the centre of town.

I stayed for 4 nights while attending a conference. It was a great hotel for the price. Very accessible as it’s close to transit and a lot of destinations are walkable from it. I would definitely choose to stay there again.

Lovely hotel , lovely welcome on arrival , breakfast was really good too, location good for getting onto city . Another lady on the desk wasn’t very helpful re car parking. We arrived late and wanted to explore the area. Thankfully the lady that welcomed us , was still very kind and asked us about our day in Geneva .

Good hotel within walking of the railway station which is convenient. The hotel sent me a link for free city transport before arriving which allowed me to go for free from the airport to the central station. The hotel is as well within walking distance from the lake and the cafes by the lake. I liked that I could open the window in the room and have fresh air which is not always possible. One morning I bought breakfast which was below standard and not worth paying for.

We had to switch hotels, this was not as pictured

The phrase “roughing it” comes to mind. The location is close to the train station, but the actual rooms and furnishings are pretty worn, don’t expect it to look like the pictures. For the price, it definitely isn’t up to standard. The staff was nice, but the hotel is really dated. Cleanliness was not up to standard and furniture/bedding/linens was worn and in some instances stained and the floor didn’t seem clean either. It’s also in a slightly run-down area, and then the door lock was loose/falling off. We ended up only staying one night and moved to a different hotel because we were super uncomfortable and the room didn’t look like the pictures. They refused to refund the unused nights on our reservation, but even so it was worth changing hotels to have a nice clean and safe place to come back to. I’d recommend to stay somewhere else.

We stayed at design hotel expecting some relevance to design. Some odd things like shower showed red for cold and blue for hot.. Maybe a joke? Beds comfy but duvets roasting for summer. Reception and breakfast bar staff charming and helpful, breakfast, not included, good but was astonished to hear gluten free roll, excellent, was meant to cost 8 SF extra! Considering all other hotels, 5, in Geneva and Italy provided, it seemed excessive.

It is a very neat property with comfortable beds and is located close to the main rail station, making transportation convenient for guests. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the friendly staff, in particular the senior citizen/ “pensioner” who checked me in despite the fact that it was not yet check-in time. He was a fabulous man! Additionally, guests have access to a minibar in their rooms where they can select drinks of their choice and pay at check-out. It is simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I nearly forgot to mention the giant flatscreen TV in the rooms as well as the fitness centre. I highly recommend Design Hotel F6 to anyone visiting Geneva
