Savhaven - 4 Bed, 4 Bath with Pool, Sleeps 8 (2 minutes away from Spotts Beach)

Savhaven is located in the tranquil area of Savannah which is the middle of Grand Cayman. Savhaven is less than 3 minutes away from Spott’s Beach by car. This beach gives you the best sighting of sea turtles on the island and is excellent for snorkeling. It takes about 30 minutes to reach East End or North Side from Savhaven and 15 minutes to get to the capital George Town and 30 minutes to get to West Bay. All the major attractions on the island can be reached within minutes. A video of the property can be viewed by googling Savhaven Video.

The Eastern side of the island offer the Botanic Park, Crystal Caves, East End and Rum Point. The Western side of the island offers the world famous Seven Miles Beach, the Turtle Farm and a multiplicity of other attractions. The capital city, George Town, offers duty free shopping, Atlantis Submarine, Glass bottom boat, restaurants, Art Gallery, among other attractions.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! The property was clean, spacious, and exactly as described, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The pool area was perfect for unwinding, and the location was ideal — just minutes from Spotts Beach and convenient to everything we needed.The host was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. We were greeted with delicious jerk chicken and rice at check-in, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. That personal touch truly set the tone for a wonderful stay.Communication was easy throughout, and everything was well organized. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The house was exceptional, very clean and well equipped with the necessities you would need for your stay. Our friendly host greeted us upon arrival. Although our flight arrived late, they had a hot meal waiting for us. Messages were answered promptly and Claude extended our accommodation by a day when our flights were cancelled. The house was ideally located in a quiet neighbourhood close to a grocery store and other amenities.

As always, the visit was flawless. Claude and Lorna have it down. The property is always well kept and anything you need is either on the site, or a short walk to Countryside Mall. I cannot express in words how much we appreciate Claude and Lorna. With all the changes and developments in Georgetown, heading towards West Bay, it is so nice to have a organic place that reminds us of what Cayman is. This place still allows us to stay in touch with the Cayman lifestyle. Although our experience is brief to living in Cayman, this place allows you to feel part of the community. The property and owners are nothing like we have ever experienced anywhere in the world, let alone Cayman. This is the property to stay if you want the real Cayman experience...peace and calm. Judging by other reviews, we are not the exception to the reality. Thank you Claude and Lorna!

I can’t say enough good about this home! The house is beautiful, spotless and clean, and the outdoor area is well kept and the pool was amazing! We were welcomed and given a tour of the house and enjoyed a delicious meal provided by Claude and Lorna…after a long day of travel to the island it was such a blessing!! We had absolutely everything we needed to cook meals throughout the week…the house was so well stocked! The grocery store is just a couple minutes from the house…so close you could walk to it! On the days we went to the beach we had beach towels, umbrella, chairs, floats, a cooler, snorkel gear…everything was provided by the host! We loved the location of the house! It was on the south side but in the middle which was perfect for traveling to all side of the island which we did throughout the week in our rental car. We loved watching the sunrise and snorkeling on Spotts Beach which was only about a 3 minute drive from the house (we even walked there one morning)! After our days out exploring it was nice coming home and using the pool and grilling in the outdoor kitchen area! We can’t wait to plan our next vacation to the Caymans and hope to stay here again!!

The stay was fantastic , we were welcomed with a tasty meal of jerk chicken,rice,and salad.Claude and Lorna the hosts pop in to introduce themselves and welcome us to the islands,it was a pleasure to meet them.the kitchen well stocked with a good selection of utensils herbs ,spices teas and coffee, bedroom's well stocked with a lovely selection of soaps and shower gels Really comfy night’s sleep in the beds. We had a great time in the pool and enjoyed a fantastic bbq with the music system playing in the background.I would highly recommended our stay at Savhaven, come and enjoy Claude and Lorna hospitality you will be delighted,Grande Cayman Islands is very clean and visitor friendly.Our favourite restaurant was peppers we had a great time there.

Home away from home

We just stayed at Savhaven on April25 for a week and it was amazing. Everything about the house was great including the pool and the kitchen area. There was 8 of us and the home didn’t feel packed at all, it’s very spacious and set up for families. We visit cayman very often but this was our first time staying in Savanah and we loved it! We are already planning our next stay at this amazing home! Oh, you probably will need to rent a car but not a big deal at all for us!

A home in paradise

Claude and Lorna are fantastic hosts, met us at the property when we arrived, had prepared a fabulous Caribbean chicken and rice meal for supper. Wonderful. The house is wonderful, this is our second stay here as it is so good and perfect for our family of 7. It has all you need, including inflatables for the pool, beach towels, deck chairs, a fantastic built in barbecue. 3 of the 4 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, the fourth room has a shower room next door so 4 couples could enjoy and have privacy also. We were unfortunate to have a member of the party getting hospitalised on the day before we left. Claude couldn’t have been more helpful and gave us a late checkout so our son could sleep before the next stage of our travels.If I could give this property 10 stars I would, for the property and the hosts. Thank you so much and hopefully we’ll be back soon!

Still the Standard

We have just returned from our annual stay at Savhaven. The property has not changed one bit. The condition of everything is excellent. Claude and Lorna are the kindest of hosts. This property is more of a community feel, than a vacation/tourist feel. The Countryside Shopping Village has anything you may need. Be sure to check ALL of the cabinets before you go out and look to buy anything. The place is loaded with every cooking utensil you may ever need, and some you will never need. The location is ideal for just about every place you may want to go. When you stay here it truly feels like you are at home. Taking walks through the neighborhoods you occasionally come across other residents, and they are nothing but welcoming and friendly. This is the place to go for everybody. Time with family. Able to be a tourist when you want. Beach and snorkel access. Grocery store, fast food, local food, pharmacy, liquor store, etc. Safe and secure. It has it all and it is very convenient. Claude and Lorna are the crowning jewel. Thanks to all that have stayed here before us because everyone has taken such great care of the place that it was not any different than a year ago. Maybe even a little better. We will continue to go back every year, and maybe more. We have stayed there with just two of us and with other family and friends. It is one size fits all.

Cayman villa

Claude provided a meal of jerk chicken , salad and rice, when we arrived which was very welcome . The villa was spacious with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It was extremely well equipped for the pool and the beach with beach chairs , snorkels and floats. Broken sinners were quickly replaced by Claude .Ideal location for visiting Spotts beach and turtle sorting .

A haven!

I always hesitate to give 5 stars. After all nothing is perfect, however this is as close as it comes. I was shocked to get a delicious arrival meal! I was shocked the property was stocked with all the soaps shampoos towels etc, miscalenous pantry items. There was really no wanting here! Beautiful home, spaced out bedrooms, gorgeous pool.

Lovely stay on Grand Cayman

We had a wonderful time at Lorna and Claude’s. They are wonderful hosts, and the house is spacious and clean. Our kiddos especially loved the pool. They have all the kitchen necessities one may need; they have toys for the swimming pool; they have nice beach chairs and sand toys - we have no complaints. Claude was also very flexible with us when our flight got delayed by 2.5 hours - he allowed us to stay in the house so that our 2yo could finish his nap, which helped us with a long day of travel. We spent time at Spotts Beach, which was lovely, and also tried out some other nearby swim spots like Smith’s Cove and another nearby beach that I am forgetting the name of (but was only about 8 mins from the house). The grocery store is a quick 2 min walk from the house. The en suite bathrooms in 3 of the four bedrooms was perfect for our family (3 kids, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents). Overall highly recommend. We are ready to return!

Lovely home and owners but you need a car

The home was lovely and very clean. As represented, the home is NOT on the beach, but is in a residential neighborhood that is still in the process of being constructed. Three of us stayed, but plenty of room for four. The outdoor area--pool and patio was equally nice. We bought groceries for breakfasts and lunches (groceries are very expensive) but ate dinners out. We had some excellent dinners, with the Yacht Club being the most extraordinary. However, know that all of the nicer restaurants are at least 30 minutes away. We visited the nearest beach--Spotts-- and also Rum Point and The hosts are very friendly, responsive and accommodating and the price seemed reasonable.

Fantastic stay

I can not say enough good things about our stay at Savhaven. We were greeted by Claude at the house who had a delicious home cooked meal waiting for us. He had the house decorated especially for holidays which was a nice touch. Claude gave us a tour of the house to make sure we knew where everything was and how to work internets, remotes, etc. The house itself is very well stocked. The kitchen has all the appliances you would need. On top of oven, stove, and microwave there was a toaster oven, a regular toaster, blender, coffee maker, and more. There is sufficient pots and pans, baking dishes, and Tupperware. The outside area was also very lovely. There is a pool, outdoor kitchen area, seating just as it looks in the pictures. There is a pergola with some shading too. There are beach toys for the kids and snorkels for everyone. Beach chairs and towels were also provided. Inside the house 3 of the rooms were very spacious. Each of those had their own en-suite. The 4th bedroom fits a queen sized bed and has a closet. It’s a little smaller than the others, but definitely adequate. The bathroom for that one is in the hall. Each bathroom was stocked with toilet paper, body wash, and starter shampoo and conditioners. Claude was available for anything we needed and responded very quickly. He even came by to check in after a few days to make sure we didn’t need anything. This property was great and I highly recommend staying here.

It took 18 years...

We have been coming to Cayman for over 18 years, and have stayed in more than 15 different properties from Cayman Kai to West Bay. We have finally found the perfect spot. The property has all the amenities of a resort and the all the comforts of home. Everything you need is at Savhaven and the location is perfect. Access to Georgetown, West Bay, East End, and Rum Point is easy and convenient. This is a very quiet neighborhood that makes you really feel right at home. One of the better snorkeling sites in our opinion, Spotts Beach, is a short drive away. It's great place to spend the day and really get to see some unique animals under the surface. Having the all the stores within a 1 minute drive increases the time you have to enjoy yourself. Claude and Lorna are delightful people who provide a great setting for us to enjoy. It is also very important to have the owner be from Cayman. You can tell they really want you to enjoy Cayman and their property. For the people who come after us, please take care of this property because we wish to make this the place for us every time we come back to Cayman. I can go on for quite a while, but just know this is the place in Cayman! Thank you Claude and Lorna!

Best Home Away From Home

Claude & Lorna are exceptional hosts! We arrived on Sunday, when most of the supermarkets and stores are closed on the Island. They had prepared a lunch for us of delicious jerk chicken, rice, salad and plenty of bottled water. They gave us a tour of the house and provided all the necessities to make us feel at home. The house was very big, spacious and clean with plenty of linens and towels. The backyard pool with BBQ grill and outdoor speakers were a plus! Claude checked in on us throughout the trip to make sure we had everything we needed. Conveniently located in the middle of the island, you are never further than 15-30 minutes away from any attraction or beach. Highly recommend this home!

The gift that keeps giving

Ok im just going to say it- they should charge more for all that they provide. We have travelled the world and stayed at many homestays. This one made us feel like a hotel guest in a home and that is the ultimate compliment. The hosts provided everything that you need and they were not cheap about it- that's the key. I didnt feel nickle and dimed to provide my own toiletries and what not. They literally provided everything. Thwre is something special about knowing your host wants you to wnjoy your stay and want for nothing. The home is well kept and safe. We loved the outdoor speakers by the pool. This place is a rare gem bc of the hosts, Claude and Lorna. I hope only the best guests visit their home because that's what they deserve.

Perfect house for the family

Wonderful vacation. 8 of us and a 16 month old stayed at Claude’s house the week of August 6th, 2023. The house is fantastic and the pool and outdoor kitchen are a great bonus. The house is in a great location on the island. We went in every direction. You can get about anywhere on the island in less than 30 minutes . Lots of beach chairs and toys at the house.They also have a crib and high chair. Claude even had dinner ready for us the first day! He is a super nice guy. The house is big and as nice as the pictures suggest. I could go on and on. We had a great week that we will never forget.

Family vacation

We were a family of 7 adults . Claude and Lorna were excellent hosts. They left us a delicious spicy chicken dinner with rice and salad . Their house is immaculate and beautiful. It was a perfect location to everything. We were about 18 minutes to 7 mile beach and maybe thirty to Rum point. We were ten minutes from supermarket. It was a perfect vacation and I would recommend this beautiful house to everyone.!

House was great for our needs! Pool area was perfect and the house was better stocked than any other house I’ve ever stayed in. Would recommend!
