"The host was very unresponsive. I left messages on Hotels.com inquiring about the check-in process, but received no reply. By the day before check-in, I still hadn't received the entry code. When I called, the host said the code would only be provided on the day of arrival. However, on the check-in day, the check-in time passed and I still hadn't received any messages. I had to call them again just to get the code verbally. On top of that, the host had a very heavy accent, making it very difficult to understand.
