"Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out."

"Lovely location. If required theres not a great signal for phone service and no WIFI. The house was tastefully decorated, we personally thought there could have been a few more kitchen items eg:- baking sheets for oven, bbq tools, grate for grill pan. Although the garden looks large the cottage is in the grounds of a larger house and unfortunately my French is not great but i was assuming the garden just surrounding the cottage was for our use and having a dog, the garden area was not enclosed...

"This cottage is lovely, very well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. The fire was roaring when we arrived which was a real treat for us and the dog. Nicole is very hospitable and treated us to some homemade jam and cider as well as brioche - all of which were unexpected and delicious. In our short stay, we have appreciated the walking, the seaside, the market at Hauteville and the tranquility of not doing anything. Thanks for everything, we will be back."
