“The farm that the hut was located in was great. Lots of animals around and it was really fun feeding the alpacas! Host was friendly and accommodating. Overall a great getaway from the city. The directions could have been clearer, there’s no mention that I could see of the farms name however this was quickly resolved by a 1 minute phone call to the host. ”

“We recently rented three homes in England - They were all very, very, good. Even with this tough competition, the Mac Shack stood out as an absolutely wonderful stay. From the friendly, helpful, host and hostess and their beautiful, very comfortable home, I cannot imagine a better rental. We have rented many homes from VRBO, some City apartments, country cottages, beautiful villas and even a castle. Mac shack was the equal or better than any other accommodation. “Cottage was really nice to stay at for our 10 day England trip. Bathrooms being updated was nice and the beds were very comfortable. Being positioned on a golf course off the main road made for quiet nights. The bistro next door with the included 10% discount for staying at the cottage was excellent for breakfast and evening drinks. Perfect little picturesque and quaint cottage. ”

“The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. We were met by the owner, Mark, on arrival, who was very welcoming. He provided lots of local information, including walks and pubs marked on an OS map. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. There are several properties here, but all wirh separate entrances and outside seatinf areas so they feel private. It was a great base for a few days in the Suffolk countryside. ”

“We (3) stayed here while carrying out work locally.The apartment was clean, cosy and everything we needed. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the local area, we just knew the way to work sit and back and there was plenty of takeaways and supermarkets along the way. There is no cooking facilities so this is useful.All round spot on place. Would stay again if in the area. 100%”

“Wonderfully rustic property in a brilliant location. Hosts were gracious and welcoming and made sure we were settled. Local White Horse pub (minutes away, walkable if you're feeling energetic) is a must for their housemade pizza and in-house brewery. Great weekend getaway ... highly recommended.”
