"The cabins are cute and situated above the water with a nice view. The area is very nice and quiet and walkable out in the country. The cabins are dated with vintage kitchenettes and very basic furniture. You need to bring pretty much everything. Keeping in mind these are geared toward fishermen, a few added amenities could justify doubling the rates during the high season when they're kind of an overflow to the A-Bay vacation crowd. "The room could have been cleaner, as there were several dead mosquitoes on the windowsills and the curtains were torn. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and spotless, and the pillows were soft. The view from the window was absolutely stunning and made the stay much more enjoyable."

"The Positives - This hotel is very near several restaurants, so you don't have to drive anywhere to pick up lunch or dinner. You don't even have to cross a street. There's a Mexican restaurant, a pizza restaurant, a place for wings. I particularly liked the Chinese restaurant. The room was clean when I entered. Bed is high off the ground, which I like. Microwave worked well. Refrigerator was a tad loud, but I've experienced louder. The Negatives - Walls are thin. You can hear conversations easily from the room next door, which means that they can hear yours as well. During the nights I stayed there, my neighbor played music the entire night. At 2:00 AM I called the front desk about it, and they handled the problem right away. So kudos to the staff. But the fact remains that the walls are thinner than they should be. The bathroom was clean, but the shower dispensers were problematic. The body wash dispenser was practically falling off the wall. The conditioner dispenser was either empty or not working. When I asked the front desk to add more conditioner, the result was that I was given two more bars of soap. Clearly, there was a communication breakdown somewhere. The breakfast is continental but minimal. I wasn't expecting fresh eggs and bacon, but it was still lacking. No artificail sweeteners made available. When I picked up an orange from the bowl, it was completely rotted on one side. Not horrible, but I would have trouble reccommending."

"Be sure to check in at their sister hotel 1.5 miles away, there is no office at the motel. The rooms that face the river have a parking lot in need of repairs as well as the steps leading to the rooms. The coffee maker did not operate in our room. While the bed, linens and bathroom were clean and fresh, there were dead bugs on the old heater below the a/c unit."

"We did not find out that the restaurant and continental breakfast were not available until we arrived due to construction. We should have been advised when we booked the hotel. Upon check-in, no one told us that there were cold breakfast items available in the office. Also, was a little disappointed to find that check-in time ended so early."
