Wildlife lovers can head to The Foulshaw Osprey Experience (5 miles) or go birdwatching at Leighton Moss (15.5 miles), while thrill-seekers can try cycling trails in Grizedale Forest (11.5 miles) or Go Ape (13 miles). This traditional cottage sits on a steep village road and is brimming with rustic charm. Inside, the inviting open-plan living space is beautifully divided with ships’ timbers and has an original flightstone flag floor. Two comfy sofas sit beside the wood burner, which is housed within a stone fireplace – this is a cheerful and welcoming spot to unwind with the Smart TV, a book or a board game. The well-equipped kitchen and adjoining utility room have everything you need for easy self-catering, and there’s a dining area that sits close by for relaxed mealtimes. The shower room with WC is also on the ground floor. Upstairs are two welcoming bedrooms – a double and a twin. Wooden doors and furniture throughout create a cohesive look and feel and offset the old whitewashed walls beautifully.
To the front of the house, you’ll find a small patio to accommodate one car.
