Bachelorette fun in Granville
This little cottage is located in the heart of downtown Granville, Ohio. It is within walking distance of all the restaurants and fun cool places to be and to hang out. The cottage itself is so beautiful and quaint - full of history, which we were not aware of until we got there highly recommend fun little place to go.

Extension of our home
The Bancroft Cottage is around the corner from our home. We had family coming in for a holiday visit and renting the cottage allowed everyone to have a bed. Some family stayed in the cottage and others with us. It is so well appointed and folks loved the proximity to the Cidery!

Home away from home
This is our second stay in the historic Bancroft cottage. The cottage is charming, welcoming, and comfortable. It was the perfect Autumn weekend. The owners have thought of everything to make you feel right at home in the lovely village of Granville.

As Always One of Our Favorite Places
We have been staying here for the past 4 years a couple times a year. We absolutely love everything about this vintage cottage house. The outdoor garden seating is quaint. There is a cidery behind the house called Seek No Further and we were able to sit outside in the backyard of the home and hear the band they had playing. It was an added bonus.

We appreciated the clean and comfortable beds, linens, the well stocked kitchen, and the cabinet full of games. Such a lovely space to hang out with family! The location was perfect for walking to various shops and restaurants, too.

Such a charming home. I only wish it was mine. Had a great weekend with girlfriends. Enjoyed every aspect of the home (the decor, clean linens, fresh coffee and tea, wine in the adorable courtyard, cocktails around the kitchen table, the tasting at the cidery right out the back gate, good music and company in front of the LR fireplace, close proximity to the main street and wonderful restaurants). Don’t miss trying the Station and Harvest for good cocktails and food! Thanks for sharing your property!

Fun getaway
The cottage was lovely and cozy. We had everything we needed for a weekend away from home. We loved relaxing at the cottage, enjoying refreshments by the firepit at the cidery next door, and walking to the shops and restaurants in town. Would definitely stay hete again!

Hallmark Christmas Cottage
Completely taken aback by the casual comfort and relaxing atmosphere of the Bancroft Cottage. We came down to watch our Denison daughter swim for a busy weekend. The Bancroft Cottage was “home base” in a hectic weekend where we could relax, unwind and refuel for the next event. Christmas in Granville with all the “Hallmark” trimmings was just icing on a fabulous 4 days weekend. Don’t forget to hit the Cidery, Whits and the Sugary Sweet!

Lovely Quirky Cottage
This was a really cool home, very comfortable! Quirky spaces great for kids and teens and neat local touches that were appreciated! Great communication, very clean and close to the beautiful little town of Granville, close to Denison. Highly Recommend!

Granville visit
Lovely historic property ideally located in Granville with convenient access to grocery, restaurants, and Cidery. Loved the little courtyard and kitchen. I would recommend the property for groups that are keeping the same hours. Sound does travel in the house and the historic floors are creaky. We did have to be intentional about lowering the a/c and cracking the windows at night to cool the second floor. We live in a historic home so appreciate the challenges and gave 5 stars...I only mention these things to help future renters. I did work from the house and the internet was great.

While the cottage is extremely well-appointed, and located in an ideal spot (abutting a cider mill!), we waited until the 3pm check-in time - we were not granted early access - and had a GOLDILOCKS nightmare! The beds were unmade, dirty towels were hanging in the bathrooms, nothing had been cleaned and the air conditioning had not been turned on. The owner, Trent, showed up in person and was very amenable, apologetic, saying it had only happened once before. But it was another 2-3 hours before it was cleaned, by one person with a grandchild-in-tow. Meanwhile, we couldn't shower or unpack, and could have used the time to settle in before evening activities. The nights were stuffy, as the air conditioning never got up-to-speed upstairs. Most importantly we had reserved the cottage ONE YEAR in advance, with the FULL AMOUNT - TWO NIGHTS deducted from the credit card to hold the space, terms which were not stipulated on the page! We called Orbitz, sent a screen shot, they spoke to the property owner, but our hands were tied as our only choice was to cancel. Lastly, 2 baths representation was false, as there was only one bath with a shower, and one half bath upstairs! Very disappointing as we were two couples, different families! We had indicated to the owner that we were using the cottage for graduation, and were granted permission to have a gathering there, which was great. All in all, we made the best of it and enjoyed our stay DESPITE being mislead on many fronts...:/

What a great house! We loved the decor - the back yard. I cooked Easter dinner and found a well stocked kitchen to get the job done. Love the location with the new Cidery adjacent and an easy walk to Broadway. So excited to find this gem.

Granville Girls Birthday Weekend
We spent a girls weekend here and this property was the PERFECT place to celebrate. It was spacious, clean, fully stocked, great location, and the attention to detail for maintaining it's historic status with modern amenities was perfection. I would recommend the cottage to anyone and everyone. Within walking distance of almost anything in Granville and a close drive to neighboring cities. We could not have asked for a better weekend. We enjoyed our family’s visit to the Bancroft House! It was very warm and inviting (especially with 2 fireplaces!). Everything we needed was fully stocked. The grandson’s especially liked the “hidden dorm room”. Location to town was great. As a Denison alum, my wife and I will return!

Charming Cottage in town
The house was exactly what I hoped for. So nice to walk out the door and be able to get coffee or dinner. Also the cidery was almost in the backyard which was awesome. When a small issue arose, our host took care of it immediately. Would highly recommend!

This was a lovely almost 200 year young (mostly renovated) house located 1 short block from the center of a small, quaint town. Everything seemed clean. Backyard is small but well kept and inviting for any age, with a chiminea but no grill. Delicious bakery is across the street. The house and location made for a great stay in Granville.

Short Family Getaway
We chose this property because it was a COVID friendly choice and had plenty of walkable outdoor locations nearby. My wife picked the property because of the cottage feel/décor and it did not disappoint. So many unique elements throughout including the kitchen cabinets, vintage woodwork, coffee grinder and of course the "hidden" kids bedroom. The house was the most well equipped one that we have stayed in to date. All the dishes and utensils you could need, plenty of towels/linens and even shampoo, lotion and soaps. Even got to leave the kids at home and venture through back patio to the Seek No Further Cidery. We really enjoyed the all the eatery's in walking distance from the house. A true small town experience.

Mother’s Day Weekend Getaway :)
Cozy cottage, great location, great rustic decor, back patio & courtyard, had a small fire in the evening, great for small children to play and have privacy. Sweet little bakery across the street, no need to bring breakfast they have yummy desserts & danishes! We took a family walk thru uptown Granville the first for the family, they fell in love with the shops & atmosphere. Definitely Recommend:)

Delightful cottage in the center of Granville
This beautiful cottage is a block from Maine Street Granville. The location could not be better. It is very comfortably furnished and well equipped. The fairy lights and fires give a warm and cozy ambiance which was perfect on such a cold windy day. We hope to be back and to stay longer next time.

Charming refuge in Granville

This was a perfectly charming location for our family to stay while boating on Buckeye Lake for a few days this summer! The cottage is beyond adorable and we loved the decor and aesthetic - very well done! Out of a storybook!
