Regarding the local rooster and loud music statements, unfortunately, both do not belong to Hendersons and therefore, out of our control. We cannot control what the neighbourhood is doing at Gravelly Beach and are sorry that this affected your stay. We are also sorry to hear that your husband had a pre-existing injury and couldn’t get comfortable of a night. As stated in our listing, we do have a range of hard and soft mattresses to “suit most”, that is clear in our advertising. Like we do for all our guests, we contact you about your check-in access and welcome any feedback/issues, so we can resolve. After your first night of a 6-night stay, you did not alert us to any issues, so we assumed you were comfortable. We may have been able to help rectify your mattress issue for you privately if you had let us know. Also, regarding your snack comment, yes “nearly out of date” is correct, but still within the expiry date. If the date hasn’t been reached yet, they are still ok to consume. It is a system just like a mini bar at a hotel, which we think is a great idea. The snacks are available for guest convenience and as an option, so not everyone has to purchase. We certainly do not leave snacks past their expiry date for guests. For future guests, we are very approachable hosts, and our guests are most welcome to come to us with any problems privately during their stay, so we can help make their stay a more pleasant one. We hope you received your husbands spectacles in the mail that we found and then posted to you when you vacated. That's part of our service for all our guests.

We respect the feedback, thank you. We would like to know what you were referring to regarding "maintenance" so we able to address and improve immediately for our future guests. We are also questioning in regards to the "equipment" not working as we have been through everything and checked ourselves. Thank you for the lovely review for your 10 night stay at Hendersons in Gravelly Beach. We hope to have you stay again in the future. Apologies Shaun, regarding the pool temperature. For any future guests reading this, please note the solar heating pump does run 24/7 from October through to March. Being late September and having turned it on early especially for Shaun and his family, it is up to Tasmania's unpredictable weather to heat the huge 77,000L pool. We hope you can understand the system.
