Wisteria Cottage is a beautiful three bedroom, grade II listed building, set in an idyllic historic village. The perfect setting for a family holiday, for people who want to enjoy the countryside and glorious walks, or people wanting easy access to London. Wisteria cottage is perfect for those wanting a getaway that offers vibrant city as well as beautiful countryside.

There are three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite, one with a double bed and one with a double sofa bed, we also have a bedroom with bunk beds. It is child friendly with the option of a stair gate if required. There is a cosy spacious lounge with wood burning stove and a kitchen which houses a dishwasher and washing machine. The pretty garden has a seating area and lawn. There is a designated parking place under a two minute walk away. The cottage has been recently refreshed to a high standard.

The cottage is in the heart of Cobham on the picturesque village street. It is a few steps from the delightful village shop which is open daily and sells fresh bread and meats as well as local produce. There are 3 friendly and welcoming pubs within the village (all within easy walking distance of the cottage) offering local ale and food.

Cobham is a very pretty village in a conservation area, and as such remains relatively unspoilt. The 13th century village church is 2 minutes walk away. Charles Dickens is also linked to the village mentioning The Leather Bottle Inn (one of the local pubs) in The Pickwick Papers. The pub houses a collection of Dickensian memorabilia.

Cobham stands at the end of Lime Avenue that leads to the great Cobham Hall, one of the finest houses in Kent. The village is described as a walker’s paradise and from the cottage you can access many different walks in the most glorious countryside. A 30 minutes walk from the cottage through the Cobham Hall grounds, takes you to a National Trust Mausoleum and a 20 minute walk through beautiful countryside takes you to Owletts National Trust property.

Cobham is also a short distance to the vibrant city of London. A direct train from the next village (5 minutes drive away) takes you into London Victoria in less than 50 minutes. The cottage is a 10 minute drive from Ebbsfleet International Station and a 50 minutes drive to the port of Dover.

We had a wonderful holiday at Wisteria Cottage. The cottage is old and small with low ceilings, just as it was in the 17th century. No point for us, but if you are taller than 1.80m then it can be a problem. We would not want to stay there with more than 4 people to still have enough space to move. The cottage was also cosy, sufficiently clean, well maintained and very complete. Everything has been thought of to make you comfortable. The description on the Vrbo site was not quite correct, there would be a bbq and a dryer. The bbq was not there, only an outdoor heater. The driers are present but are behind a lock. Because there was no drying rack, we were able to use it in consultation with the landlord. Communication with the landlord was quick and smooth, they want to do everything they can to make your stay pleasant.

Das Cottage hat einen historischen Charme und liegt zentral im Dorf. Das Alter des Hauses bringt leider auch einen leicht muffigen Geruch im Erdgeschoss mit sich, der aber im Schlafbereich nicht wahrnehmbar ist. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es viel tolle Natur und eine sehenswerte historische Kirche, nach London kommt man gut mit dem Zug vom nächstgelegenen Dorf aus, wo man auch gut parken kann. Ein Minuspunkt ist allerdings der relativ starke Verkehr durch das Dorf (auch Nachts), den wir so nicht erwartet hätten. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr nett und tadellos!

My husband and I stayed here with my folks. From the initial booking to checking out, everything went smoothly. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cobham. We will definitely keep this location in mind if we travel back to this area in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights at this gorgeous cottage. Its location is brilliant with 3 pubs (all great food) and a local village store next door which had everything we needed. Cobham woods is a short walk away which was brilliant for our little pup. The Cottage has a generous sized lounge with log burner which was great, a well equipt kitchen and a little private garden. Our hosts were amazing with communication we couldnt of been happier. Thank you for having us.

Cobham is a lovely village, 3 pubs and a cricket pitch just behind the cottage. The walk up and past the church gives you amazing views. We can recommend the Leather Bottle and Darnley Arms, we also sat for a few hours watching the cricket. Ideal location for getting to North Greenwich (O2) and underground in 30mins and for exploring Kent. On arrival we found the garden covered in rotting apples attracting wasps, the 2 wheelie bins were overflowing and the garden furniture was dirty - just needs more regular care. The family bathroom sink was blocked (the cleaner should have identified this). I contacted the owner to report these and he sent the cleaner over to sort what she could but the sink was blocked for 3-4 days, the owner sent some sink unblocker which didn't work so we had to get our own. The bedding was clean but very creased (not a great first impression). Overall the cottage was OK but seemed to be missing that care and attention required.

Das cottage ist besonders schön eingerichtet. Man kann dort mit der Familie einen schönen Urlaub verbringen. Wir haben die Möglichkeit genutzt um nach London zu fahren und hatten leider keine Zeit eingeplant das hübsche Cobham und Umgebung zu erkunden. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wisteria Cottage is very well appointed and was a great location for our weekend watching racing at Brands Hatch (20 minutes away). Very convenient for the Village Store (next door) and the Ship Inn which served great food too. Off street parking space available just up the road too. Great communication from the host. All in all a great option for a weekend break or a longer holiday.

This was such a lovely place to stay, it has a beautiful cottage feel but is actually very spacious! The surrounding area is stunning and we loved the pubs just down the road! We loved the little table and chairs in the garden to have our morning tea! The owners were really very accommodating and responded quickly to all our queries, would definitely stay here again!

The cottage was beautiful and extremely cosey. The surrounding village was also beautiful and it was a shame that I was not visiting in better circumstances. I would definitely like to come back in the Summer and hopefully with the village pubs open! The property manager responded to all questions quickly and was extremely helpful- top class service.

We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely cottage. There were 5 adults and a dog and we all enjoyed our stay. Communication with the owners before the stay was easy and we had no complications checking into the property. The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The garden space was perfect for the dog and we could walk from the cottage to some woodland for his daily walk.

Nette Atmosphäre und gute Pubs in Cobham. Liebenswert praktische Einrichtung des Hauses. Die Waschbecken sind zwar recht klein, aber in zwei Schlafzimmern mit zwei Bädern ist das Problem beherrschbar. Gewöhnungsbedürftig (für Deutsche) ist das Müllmanagement. Nicht ganz so schön ist die sehr schmale Straße durch den Ortskern. Sie fordert erhöhte Aufmerksamkeit beim Verlassen des Hauses, nicht zuletzt wegen der Geschwindigkeiten der Fahrzeuge. Insgesamt ist das Haus incl. der problemlosen Verwaltung absolut empfehlenswert.

It is an immaculately presented cottage with nice furnishings and comfortable living space. The bedrooms are well sized and is in a charming little village. The information to access the cottage was very straightforward and Jon was very easy to deal with. Would highly recommend!
