We liked the fact that Guimar was just an ordinary, quiet working town and not at all touristy. The locals we interacted with there were very friendly and helpful.

"Very quiet except for the sound of relaxing waves. Great out of the way getaway with easy walking areas, rocks with tidal pool's. Lots of privacy but a close drive for groceries and eateries. I loved the deck off the bedroom, looking and listening to the ocean while reading"
