"I don’t know if you could find a better place to stay on Maui. We’ve been to Maui multiple times and here at the Mana Kai you have everything. A fabulous beach (great for snorkelling, walking, running, swimming), stunning views from every unit, a very cute and handy general store and activity rental place where we grabbed a boogie board for the week. They’re building/renovating a new restaurant which will be a nice addition as well. The unit was perfect for our family of 5 - clean, nice and spacious (the view was outstanding)!!! One of my favourite parts was that you could walk along the beach/shore to Wailea Beach and the other way was a pretty short walk along the road to Kihei (more beaches, restaurants etc). We will definitely stay here again. Strongly recommend!"

"The staff was amazing and so helpful. We upgraded to the new tower and loved the view and the size of the room. The pool area was always clean and well supplied. The food was fresh and fast when we ordered at the pool area."

"some staff were helpful, but others were distracted, unmotivated. One was actually assembling furniture in the lobby. My room seemed really run dead and my bed was actually broken. Seemed like one half the bed all the springs were destroyed so you just rolled right out. door to area was locked and had to go back to the front desk to get entry. Great location though and wonderful common area to enjoy the sun and views."

"Pros-Check in and check out was super easy and clear. Parking was free and great, we were able to park right by our unit. It is central so close to lots of stuff. Shower was hot and stayed hot for awhile! Host was quick and clear on communication. There is a microwave, small ice box, stove top burner, couple pots and pans. The AC worked well and the TV is big! Bed is comfy but squeaky. Cons The walls are thin so we could everything upstairs and around. The only mirror in there was a small one above the bathroom sink, Im 5'1 so I could only see my eyes and forehead. You can tell the building is old there was wood rot visible. There were markings on the door which could easily be covered with paint. There was a wet smell/odor in the room. We bought an air freshner to help with the smell. The freshener helped while we were there but the smell is there everytime we return! The furniture is old and looks dirty/musky, I would recommend the host replacing it or just dumping the chair. The towels matched the room colors but looked worn out. Overall, if they renovate this place then I might return for the location, convient parking and host communication. This place has good potential but maybe needs more tender love and care."
