1st trip to Maui
Excellent! Everything was over expectations! This was our 1st trip to any Hawaiian island and the stay here was better than imagined. This is where we will stay again when we return.
Our stay was super smooth. The place was fully stocked with everything we needed, including bottled water, snacks, and a bottle of wine. It was super clean and easy to get to. We stayed here because we had a wedding nearby so the location was convenient. Would stay again.
I stayed here for 15 nights and had no issues whatsoever. From the generous hosting gifts, and the cozy bed, I had a terrific home away from home. This place has everything you need and is so conveniently located on the north side of Maui. Close to Paia and to Hookina beach. I love having home cooked meals and this kitchen has everything I needed to cook. I would stay here again and will recommend it to all my friends.
Beautiful little house with everything you can possibly need during the stay. Frank is a great host and the check in was very easy. Will definitely stay again.
10/10 for cleanliness. Had all we needed and more. Frank was very kind and responsive.

Best cottage ever!
Frank was an outstanding host! The cottage had everything we needed and more. We were so surprised by all that he provided and appreciated his thoughtfulness! We will definitely be back again!!
This place was great and our favorite place to stay on our vacation to Maui. The location is right at the start of the Road to Hana, and it feels less crowded than the tourist centers of Lahaina and Kihei.
Frank (property owner), left fantastic recommendations for restaurants and activities in the VRBO. He also ensured it was fully stocked with snacks, beverages, and even items like snorkle gear and beach chairs!
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Perfect hideaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute hideaway. The suite was welcoming, incredibly well stocked, and everything we needed for our five days there. Frank was available if needed but we did not encounter any issues. Highly recommend if you are staying in the Haiku area or want to experience a different side of Maui.
This is a very cute well stocked cottage located on property with owners house. Owner is very friendly and communicative. Make sure you have a car to get to town or sights. Owner supplied coffee, treats, drinking water and left a bottle of wine.

Amazing Place to Stay
We just loved this studio. It was private and had a little patio area. Super clean and Frank is an awesome host! The studio is packed with snacks and water and toiletries and there was a cooler that we could use. Which was great while we went on and explored different parts of the island. It was close to a road that got you into town and on many adventures. We would definitely stay there again.
This property is the best place we’ve stayed in recent years. It is in a quiet area with a stream running next to it for a peaceful sound. The furnishings are excellent and the host has set it up with a great selection of amenities and snacks. I’ve never stayed in a place with such care and useful kitchen utensils/cookware. This is an above 5 star property.
Amazing amazing a
mazing. Beautiful home great location on road to Hana. Hosts are amazing. The stock of snacks, coffee, fruit and breakfast food was unexpected and welcomed.
Bed was super comfy and lani with coffee in am listening to nature was so peachful.
Quiet and spacious guest house, next to a running brook. Felt tucked away despite being conveniently located off the Road to Hana. Twin Falls was 10 minutes away. Paia and Makawao were 10-15 minutes. The place itself is comfortable and spacious and was fully stocked, including beach chairs and snorkeling gear. Coffee on the lanai enjoying sounds of nature and star-filled skies at night were unexpected treats. This was our first trip to Maui and we found the location very convenient for exploring the area and Haleakala National Park. Frank, the host, was welcoming. We had a lovely stay and would stay again.
Awesome place in a less touristy part of Maui. Fell asleep to the sounds of the running creek and woke up to wild roosters and gorgeous sunrise through the natural trees. Great location close to the Road to Hana and nearby towns of Haiku and Paia.
Can't express enough how great of hosts Frank and Ludy are - as previous reviews stated, they went above and beyond to include fresh foods, coffee, and providing expert advice on things to do on the island. You can tell they put in great attention to detail not only for your stay but also the quality of their guest house construction and landscaping/gardening - to include beautiful flowers, trees, and plants on the premises.
Would absolutely seek this place out again during a future Maui trip, and fully recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, private, and comfy place to stay. Thanks again to you both for everything!
My husband and I stayed here for a week during our trip to Maui and of all the places we stayed during this trip (and previous trips) this far exceeded anything we have ever experienced! The place is beautiful!! All the appliances and amenities are high end! Everything was stocked including things like butter, milk and even wine! And while this sounds goofy…even the toilet paper was Charmin! Not the thin stuff everywhere else has. Frank, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful! You can tell the effort and thoughtfulness that he has put into his place and he truly wants his guests to feel comfortable and welcome. Of my 30 years coming to the island, I have never felt more Aloha spirit or stayed in such a beautiful place! And being in the rainforest was truly a one of a kind experience! So quiet and peaceful! We appreciated Frank and his place so much, there are no words. We will absolutely be returning! And many Mahalo’s to Frank and his wife, Ludy!
We absolutely loved this studio! It was so spacious and private. Surrounded by fruit trees. It had everything we needed from shampoo and conditioner to ketchup and mustard! Loved sitting outside on the patio while we ate and listened to the rain. It had a washer and dryer which was convenient. We will definitely be booking here again!

Pleasant Jungle Cottage
We stayed 6 nights in this efficient studio cottage right off Hana Highway in Haiku. The space is pleasant, clean, and conveniently located. Grocery stores, restaurants, and beaches are a short drive away. The refrigerator was stocked with plenty of bottled waters and fruit juices and we enjoyed some fresh-picked lychees the owner left at the front door. We enjoyed the tropical plants and chickens. In short, a good place. Some aspects about the location that we experienced that we would like to share: the mosquitos are pretty thick which made it hard to enjoy the patio for more than a few minutes. There is some traffic noise from Hana Highway. There is no paved access from parking to front door.

It is a wonderful studio house surrounded by greenery. Location is excellent for exploring the east side of Maui. We were amazed with all of the extra amenities upon check in. There was fresh fruit, bakery items, Keurig coffee
maker, stocked pantry and everything needed for the kitchen. Everything is new and clean. There is a nice outdoor covered patio with a grill. The hosts were very personable and helpful. We highly recommend The Kahili cottage. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect
The studio is clean and modern with all the amenities you might need. It’s peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by greenery yet the proximity to the highway makes it a great base for getting around and exploring Maui. We drove to Hana, Kihei, Lahaina, Haleakalā, ‘Iao Valley…
Frank was a perfect host. He left us treats, breakfast essentials, toiletries, all the things that made it feel like home from the moment we arrived.
He was very responsive to messages and both checking in and out were seamless.
I couldn’t recommend this place more!
This property is amazing for so many reasons it's tough to know where to begin. From booking to departure this experience at Frank's Place was incredible. Frank and I communicated before arrival more than once. I felt like I was arriving at a friends home. What was more impressive was how well equipped his guest home was. I am not talking about how nice the standard VRBO amenities were, I am talking about the stocked food, snacks, drinks etc that Frank chose to leave for us. What a difference it made and was completely above and beyond the call of duty. It felt luxury for sure. Like Butler service at an all-inclusive. We arrived after dark and had communicated in advance so Frank knew we'd be in late. He left the doors open for us for easy entry. We were so excited to know we were in rainforest country and could not wait to see what lie beyond the home in the morning. Well, no waiting. Frank had small flashlights on each nightstand for us to be able to immediately explore. Such a nice touch. We also had access to a small cooler to take with us each day as well as beach chairs, although we did not use those. The location of the property was right on the Hana Highway but just 7 minutes to the famous Mamas Fish house in the neighboring town of Paia. We spent a good bit of time there and were so pleased with how close we were to it. A short drive along Maui's North shore where there were lookouts and beachfront to watch the surfers. We ate breakfast with the locals in Haiku at Colleens and at Baked on Maui. Both were fabulous and we were thrilled to have fresh local dining experiences and not the typical resort crap. Paia has great restaurants as well. If I am ever able to return I would not even consider staying anywhere else as we got so much more of a local experience and not the curated resort experience that is crazy expensive and doesn't support local residents or improve their community. I am so grateful to Frank for sharing his home with us and fell in love with Maui because of his kindness, generosity and beautiful spirit. Many thanks my friend!!! I meant what I said when we left. You will always be in my heart and I would love to host you if you ever come stateside. This is an easy choice folks, book it and book it now!!!

Perfect location to start the road to Hana journey!!!
Frank and Ludy are the best hosts we ever met!
Their place is warm & welcoming, spotlessly clean, well stocked, and absolutely beautiful.
Frank is great to talk with and a wealth of knowledge of things to do in the area. We felt like we were with family.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will definitely be back on our next trip to Maui.
Thank you Frank and Ludy for such a memorable visit.

Great location, great owner
Wow! We had a wonderful time and stay at this property. We loved the location and more of the quaintness of this area in island. But I have to give a huge thank you and appreciation for the owner, Frank. He was extremely hospitable, and really paid attention to details that make a property better. He provided extra amenities like snacks, drinks, newspaper, snorkel gear, and beach chairs (just to name a few). He really made our vacation and stay easy, and got to focus on relaxing and having fun.
