  • Ideally situated in the village of Hellingly, nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside, this splendid farm cottage offers a peaceful and idyllic setting for small families or space-seeking couples. Surrounded by rolling hills and stunning landscapes, this quaint village is a true hidden gem, offering visitors a taste of rural English life. Lovers of the outdoors are spoiled with walking and cycling trails all around, leading deep into the countryside or out towards the county’s coastline. The area is rich in history and is home to a good choice of picturesque country pubs and traditional tea rooms, perfect for sampling some of the local cuisine. The nearby market towns of Heathfield (3 miles) and Battle (12 miles) offer visitors the chance to explore some of the region's fascinating history, while the picturesque beaches of Eastbourne are just a short drive away (13 miles).


    Enter this charming cottage, set on a quiet working farm, and kick off your walking boots in the entrance before walking through to the living space. The splendid, open-plan lounge/diner is the social heart of the home, and charms instantly with its exposed wooden beams, vaulted ceilings, and crackling wood burner. After days of countryside adventure, unwind in the lounge space’s soft seating, either with a book in-hand or the Smart TV streaming your favourite shows. When stomachs start to rumble, lay the wooden dining table towards the back of the room, and move through to the well-appointed, country-style kitchen. With more vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light, you’ll find all you need in here to cook up a feast for your special someone or the rest of the group. Sit at the breakfast table in here to enjoy the chef’s work, or head back into the lounge/diner. When day turns to night, choose from two delightful, ground-floor bedrooms. Served by the well-appointed bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower, the bedrooms include a welcoming king-size room and a cosy twin.
