"The road leading up, the house and the pond is absolutely stunning. Beautiful house, very clean and well furnished. Toiletries and towels were well stocked. The backyard fire pit with well stocked firewood was such a blessing on a cold rainy night. Ideal for 5-6 people, we were 8 so was a bit tight. Definitely would visit again and recommend the place"

"Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. "We needed a place to fit our family of 6 for a wrestling tournament in downtown Reading. We were about 18 minutes away on an easy drive. The place was perfect for our family and had everything. With half days of wrestling this gave us a great place to unwind and spread out at costs similar to the hotels closer to town. The village was very cool to walk around and extremely safe. If we find ourselves needing a place to stay in this area, we will be back!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Manor so much. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our group. The weather put a damper on our visit but we were still able to enjoy the peace and the views around the home. The kids had their pony rides and we were able to meet all the horses they have saved. The home is beautiful and well kept. Communication with the owner was SO easy and helpful. Highly recommend!"

"This is a very old Victorian style house. It has noisy steam heat; barely working locks (some don't work at all), and sketchy electrical. We booked 2br/2ba, which got us the 2nd and 3rd floors (host lives on the 1st floor). Furnishings are old; kitchens are functional, but that's it. Water pressure was VERY low.
