“Perfect location for our half way stop on NC 500 so glad we had sunshine as the roads to the cottage would be challenging in bad weather. We did try to drive down to the beach for sunset but missed the turning and ended up stuck behind a herd of cows. It was good to light a fire have a drink and warm up a pizza. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but we forgave it because everything else was so good ( and we do usually sleep on king size vspring which is difficult to match away from home) ”

“We had a lovely stay at Pier Cottage. There was plenty of room for all six of us, the place is clearly well loved and well taken care of, and the location was perfect for exploring the NW beaches and hiking trails. Having a washer and dryer helped a lot with wet clothes after a long hiking day. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking for a large family. The hosts were the best part - Mairi was very responsive before and during the stay to answer all of my questions. And Willy helped us get some……

“Lovely location as a base to explore the North West coast of the Highlands. Spacious house, good wood burner, good sized rooms, well equipped kitchen with all you'd expect. My only complaint would be a lack of some sundries, such as there were only a few toilet rolls between us 7 adults and 2 children - 2 out of the 3 bathrooms we used ran out of toilet paper. We also felt they were a bit stingy with laundry detergent - something which again we ran out of and had to buy our own. The other……

“Cruachan Holiday Home is a superb property for a vacation stay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with all the amenities required for a very very comfortable stay. The large property with its garden and the views are gorgeous. The property management was at all times very very responsive and helpful. This would be one of our top recommendations to anyone wishing to stay around Lochinver.”
