Fun Downtown Location 2nd flr

A stylish comfortable well appointed apartment in a 125 year old 2 family home. A Back yard with a picnic table, fire pit, hammock and other seating surrounded by perennial gardens and flower pots. All only steps away from a quaint New England Downtown with a few dozen restaurants, bars, and entertainment. Including a brewery, arcade bar, axe throwing, escape room, coffee roaster and chocolate shop. As well as art spaces, a Homestead museum, rails to trails and several fairs and festivals. Located in the center of the state you have easy access all Connecticut has to offer. In an hour15 to 2 hours you can take a day trip to NYC, Boston, The Cape, Berkshire mountains, Providence and New Port RI. The whole first floor is it depicted in the pictures, they will be made available as soon as the rooms are done.
Less than 10 minutes to Lake compounds amusement park, Bear Creek camp ground, ESPN and Mount Southington. Centrally located in the center of the state, 30 minutes from Hartford or New Haven. Less than two hours to NYC, Boston, Cape Cod Providence or Newport, RI beaches. Or is history or thing enjoy all that the constitution state has to offer or you can just enjoy the back yard with a picnic table, plenty of seating and a comfortable hammock.

Incredible Location, Friendly Host

Me and some friends were staying here to help with another friends’ wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! All of the appliances worked well, the place was clean and well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. Host was incredibly kind and friendly, and recommended multiple spots to visit. I would definitely go back!

Great stay!

We stayed 3 weeks at Jim's house. It's centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and a walking trail. The house was nicely decorated and had a well-stocked kitchen. Jim is an excellent host and it was was very easy to communicate with him. We recommend staying here.

Perfect place when visiting family!

I was up visiting family in CT. This pretty apartment was convenient to everything, and decorated nicely. My 13 year old and I had fun showing each other the unique bowls, figurines, and art pieces. It was comfortable and very clean. I recommended the place to my family and friends, and hope to stay there again when I come up for future visits.

This was our first time utilizing this type of thing, and I was nervous at first. But I was pleasantly surprised with everything. This location is close to the heart of town, excellent spot! Charming flat

We were on a short trip to check out schools for our daughter. The host met us upon arrival. He was very friendly and thorough. He gave us insight to the surrounding area and the place had everything we needed. It had a cozy old school feel. Many quality restaurants within waking distance. Within 30 - 60 minutes drive of great museums, beautiful sights, and other family activities.

Think Grandma’s house…

This place felt like grandma’s old apartment: lots of mid century modern furniture and filled (felt a little over loaded) with interesting Knick knacks. Pros: Huge washer/dryer Nice kitchen 3 bedrooms with good sized beds Nice host with good communication Close to restaurants Cons: 2nd floor with VERY steep steps to climb. A little slippery when raining. Tiny bathroom The furniture is old. A lot of it was leather but the plush couch set my dust mite allergy on high alert. I thought the beds were ok but my husband did not think they were comfortable.

Wonderful stay. Cute, clean, well organized, stocked and the owner was very responsive when we had a power issue that was 100% out of their control. He even shared some local recommendations including an oddities museum across the street!

James is a great host! His property is very clean- I am picky clean and it exceeded my expectations. Location is perfect for walking for a local delicious coffee at Perkatory (amazing GF muffin too), full breakfast at Gregory's, ice cream or pizza just a street away. Bed's were comfy as well as the couches. Highly recommend and we will be back.

This was the perfect space for our family. I read reviews about the steep steps and small bathroom but neither were a problem for us. Everything was clean, it was well stocked and the host was responsive prior to our trip. I did not have to contact himnduring the trip for anything.

A Great Place to Stay

Spacious, clean and well appointed. Three generous bedrooms and a large kitchen. Weather was too cold to use it, but the enclosed porch is lovely. Several new appliances, very clean linens.

Just like home

This place is amazing. It has just such a homey feel to it. My 2 year son and I stayed here and he absolutely loved it and to me it just felt like a nice comfort, home environment and when you’re traveling that’s all you really want is a place that makes you feel at home and that’s what you get when you stay here.

Close to everything, spacious

This property is a remodeled older house. With all that old house charm. It is spacious and has three bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The couch is extremely comfortable and it was great watching TV and sipping wine.

Apple Harvest Festival

We visited Southington for the Apple harvest festival. This was a perfect location, walking distance to everything dealing with the festival. Great barbecue joint across the street. Jim, the host was great very friendly. I will definitely stay here again.
