We had a lovely stay at The Mariners Hotel. Staff were very helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The only thing we didn't like and being pensioners was there isn't a lift (understandable because of the age of the building) however there were quite a few stairs to climb to our room . If we stayed again we would request a room with easier access. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel .

The room smelt musty as did the corridors but this is an old building. The carpets need upgrading to improve it's appearance along with the outside needing a paint job. Food at breakfast was lovely and the bathroom and bedding clean. We did have someone above us walking around and around til about 11pm and again the next morning on creaky floorboards which was annoying. I've stayed in more modern hotels for a lot less but this was booked last minute. Good location for our needs .

We really liked staying in this hotel. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar in the evening and enjoyed an 80s throwback of prawn cocktail followed by scampi and chips. Breakfast was made to order and was also delicious. The hotel is really clean, the hallway areas could be modernised but that didn’t detract from the nice bedroom and breakfast room.
