「This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. Would recommend and hope to return again.」

「Television was down. They had to replace a new one after inspection. It took a while to complete this. Our room was too close to the kitchen. The noise was transferred through the venting system. That needs to be improved.」

「The location was amazing, but the bathroom had tons of water damage and bugs everywhere. The tub/shower situation was terrible as there were no curtains or dividers so water just got everywhere. The staff was really slow and didn’t understand a lot of our requests and while the lobby was bright and airy, I wish we would’ve chosen to stay elsewhere. We paid a lot for basic accommodation. 」

「An oasis of calm in the countryside! Lovely rooms, lovely pool area & a fantastic place to watch the jungle wildlife! The manager was super helpful too. The beach is a 40 min walk away, or a short tuk tuk ride. 」

「The owner/host and housekeeping staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. They can arrange tuk tuk for the guests and home style food was so delicous. Due to its location, guests will need to have insects repellent spray applied at all time. Overall very nice stay at villa birdlake. 」

「Nous poussions avoir de la clim mais finalement nous n'avions qu'un seul ventilateur mural qui était en panne. Nous avons donc dû réclamer un ventilateur à pied qu'on nous a apporté dans la soirée. Attention le propriétaire ne dort pas sur place mais heureusement il est réactif (nous avons dû le contacter par SMS et sur l'application) 」

「The staff was excellent and provided as much help as possible. It still doesn’t help that the bathroom and the bed were of bad quality and the door was only a wooden door, so not a very safe feeling for a woman travelling solo. 」
