Let me start with the good, the location of this home is great! Literally a minute walk to the beach! The manager Marcia I dealt with was amazing as well! We had a great week with our two kids and our friends and their baby on their first family vacation. When we arrived to HHI on Saturday it was about 2:30 and check in wasn’t till 4. I called the management company asking if there was any way we could get into the property early since we had been in the car for hours and we had 2 little kids that needed naps. The initial woman I spoke with was rude and ended up hanging up on me. Needless to say I ended up reaching Marcia who was a gem. She let us in the home a half hour early which is when the fun began. The house was allegedly cleaned thoroughly due to CoVid... not the case. Fingerprints hair and sand everywhere would lead us to believe the cleaning job was half done at best. My wife being the clean freak she is due to having a crawling baby used an entire tube of Clorox wipes on just the Kitchen, dining, and living room. Two hours later the cleaning company showed up to spruce things up because I called and complained. Needless to say Marcia made us whole by refunding the cleaning fee. The next day the A/C unit stopped working, it was 92 degrees in the house. On a Sunday I thought this would never get handled. I called the after hours line and within an hour the HVAC guy came and fixed the unit and by Monday morning it was 75 degrees in the house. Lastly the listing says “recently updated,” not sure who determines what “updated” means, but this house looks like the last updates were done a decade ago. Despite all of this we had a great time on the island. I would say it’s mostly due to the pool area and the proximity we were to the beach. The house should’ve been nicer for the price in my opinion. We won’t stay there again, nor are we likely to stay on a property managed by this management company.
