Great place to relax.

My family and I come to Hilton Hrad Resort every year. We absolutely love the location, the staff, and the over all experience. We will definitely be back next July.

Relaxing space with nice amenities

It was a great home base which was very relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and steam room. We also enjoyed walking to the beach and exploring together

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed staying here. We had been to this resort previously, so we knew that it wouldn't really be 'on the beach' (by our terms). Owner was extremely responsive and helpful. I forgot to mention we would need 2 parking passes, but when I contacted her, she was on it immediately. Unit could use a few updates, but was clean and ultimately, that's what really matters to us. Would stay here again.

Excellent location and the birds were a joy to watch!

Having our own private boardwalk to walk to the ocean was fabulous! The birds over the salt marsh were a joy, indoor pool and sauna were great, the view from the balcony to watch the sun rise was amazing, the host was very responsive and will definitely be staying here again! It's a fantastic location and a perfect place to work remotely! Also appreciated the luggage carts placed throughout the property to load and unload.

Great stay, great host!

We had a great time. The property is in a great location and has private boardwalk to the beach, which makes that section of beach very uncrowded. Melonia was a wonderful host. We had a small hiccup with cleaning not yet completed on our arrival, but she took care of it very quickly and was very responsive to our questions.

Quaint & Charming Condo with great view

We have stayed in other units in this building before but really loved the ocean (marsh) view of this unit plus had a pretty, boho chic vibe. All of the kitchen appliances looked brand new as did the dishwasher. Everything worked great-endless supply of streaming channels. Could use some updates but overall very happy with our stay.

We loved the condo. Perfect size and a great view to the marsh, ponds and ocean. The property was not cleaned properly before we arrived. This was the biggest drawback. It should be easy to clean such a small condo.

Love this unit and resort! Everything was easy—from booking to arrival to checkout. Condo was comfortable and relaxing for our family of four. Thank you for providing the roller cart and more beach items than we could think of—it made our time on the beach so much more enjoyable. And the beach bar at the end of the boardwalk? Perfect. We really didn’t have to pack much—the owner provided it all! Close to shopping and restaurants—we got to hit all our favorite spots. Would rent again and highly recommend.

Hurricane of a Vacation

My two friends and I decided to take a last minute road trip to the beach for Labor day weekend. We found this reasonable listing and after getting a few details clarified by the owner we booked it. I would like to say that the owner of this unit is very helpful, responsive and friendly! She responded to any message very quickly. Unfortunately for us our trip got cut short by Hurricane Dorion, and we were forced to evacuate. The owner was very understanding and sent us a check to refund us for the last day/night of our trip that got cancelled due to the evacuation. The unit has everything you would need for a good time at the beach, toys, chairs, towels, umbrella, wagon and cooler. The resort itself is nice, the pools are clean, it is a bit of a maze, but they have a shuttle to the beach which is nice. Some things that were a little disappointing: the wifi was terrible, all of the beach stuff was full of sand and shoved haphazardly in the closet, but everything that was promised was there. The unit was also a little small for a place that can accommodate up to 6 people. For our group of three it was perfect, but if you have a larger of more than 4 it might be a tight squeeze. Overall, this was a great condo for us and the owner is wonderful! Hurricanes just ruin everything.

Great Stay During SC Reopening

As my family looked for a place to spend several days over Memorial Weekend, this property stood out above the rest (enough room for a family of 6, proximity and access to the beach, bikes to ride, resort amenities). Since we had some additional questions, especially in light of uncertainty related to SC's reopening process in light of the pandemic, I reached out to the property owner. She was very responsive in terms of timeliness, helpful attitude, and providing the requested info. This helped confirm to us that we had chosen the right place. Prior to our arrival date, the owner emailed us a Welcome Packet that gave us all the knowledge we needed to check in, get oriented, and enjoy our stay. Further, based on info she gleaned from our interactions, she gave our family a few personalized perks that showed she was willing to go above and beyond. We were really impressed. As far as the stay itself, the room and resort was as advertised by the VRBO listing. The kitchen was stocked for when we ate in the room. The new Smart TV allowed us to watch movies on Prime and Netflix when convenient. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the mornings watching the wildlife, feeling the breeze, and listening to the ocean. We spent a lot of time at the beach so we packed up the wagon with the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler. We made our way over to the indoor pool and hot tub a time or two. And we took the bikes out for several rides. We ate beachside at Coco's on two different nights. In short, we had plenty to do to keep ourselves entertained over the course of our 5 night stay at this VRBO. When we think about coming back to Hilton Head in the future, we will definitely make this listing a top consideration. Highly recommend!

Anniversary /Family Getaway

Once we arrived and were setting in, washing our hands in the main bathroom and off the master bedroom, a strong foul sulfur odor resonated. We ran both hot and cold water thinking the drainage had not been used in a while. The odor intensified. Reached out to the owner who stated she would contact housekeeping. No contact from housekeeping. Attempting to shower was worse. Early Saturday morning my husband went and bought several boxes of baking soda and gallon of white vinegar. This didn’t elevate the smell. We opened the doors to help air out the rooms. We had dinner reservations Saturday evening, so needed to shower after day at the beach, the odors were so overwhelming we all had headaches throughout dinner. We continued to run the water when we returned trying to eliminate the smell. Late Sunday afternoon maintenance finally came, he turned on the faucets like we had already done & left, saying to turn off after about 30 minutes. He never checked the hot water heater or came back. Our son left earlier than planned because it was overwhelming. There was mold underneath the bathroom sink, pipes apparently leaked. Several bowls in the kitchen had dried up salsa stuck to them. This place has the potential to be charming, but needs attention going into peak rental season. A smell that strong tends to stay with you for quite some time. Sent pictures to the owner, hopefully a new cleaning company will do better. Disappointed as family time is limited and precious.

Girl time at the beach!

Melonia hosted our girls group for a bachelorette weekend. We enjoyed our stay, plenty of beach gear and towels. The unit is small, but well equipped and very tidy. Our host was quick to respond to questions and provided lots of helpful information.

Good location and value

We spent 5 nights and absolutely enjoyed this unit. It has a nice view of the marsh and overlooks an alligator pond. The resort and unit are a tad dated, however the benefit of good beach access more than compensates. The owner is easy to deal with, and clear with instructions on check in and check out. For the price, absolutely worth it.

We have stayed in this particular condo once before so it like revisiting an old friend. Aside from being unable to use the tv everything else went very well indeed. Oh yes, there was one more annoyance . We wanted to introduce a friend to the Hilton Resort. Disappointingly he was unable to either drive into the property or even park outside the gate and walk to our unit. I had to go back to where he was lodging , bring him to our condo and then return him to his lodging. There has to be a better way.

Beautiful location, dated building and unit could use some amenity updates.

Lovely area near beach and nice shopping and restaurants. This resort is very dated and in need of significant updates. The main elevator in our building did not work properly and the stair wells look like a fire escape. We didn’t use the pool after hearing multiple guests speak about how dirty it was. The walls/ceilings are paper thin and normal walking in neighboring units sounded like stomping and kept us awake until after 1 am and started agin by 6 am. Parking is insufficient and results in a lengthy walk to building when returning in the evening. Our unit was acceptable but is in need of new towels, wash cloths, linens and couches (we placed clean beach towels on them before sitting). The Kuerig machine was not working properly and the last night we experienced some trouble getting the door open. A new cleaning service is warranted - There was a dirty sponge on the kitchen and bathroom sink when we arrived, the hair dryer in the master bath under the sink was touching the toilet plunger and the Swifer cleaning cloth was also filthy and had not been replaced. The owner/property manager was pleasant and responsive. We had a nice time and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful beach (yes, it is a walk, but we liked it) and Shelter Cove area. We would definitely return but would likely find another property to stay at.

We had problems with new locks and a cracked entry door, but owner was attentive and responded to the issues. Beach was farther than expected although easily accessible. Easy in and out to property itself and nice location in mid-Island
