Condo Was Not What We Expected
Its been almost 2 weeks since we return from Oahu. I want to be fair with my review .Lets start with location – They say you get what you pay for. Waikiki can be expensive. We could have paid to be on the beach but opted for a private space and a place to cook.Everyone was friendly. The pool and BBQ area were nice.The building itself well maintained. The lock box system for the entry key fob was a bit confusing, we arrived with wrong information. The condo owner did try and reach us that morning via VRBO messaging to give us the correct info. The building elevator worked well for our family with mobility issues. There is a flight of stairs to reach the lobby and the 3 minute drop off in front of the building.We had one key fob for the building & elevator. Building staff was great. Retrieving the car from the parking garage across the street was not easy.The unit itself was clean but run down. I contacted the owner immediately. The unit needed a fresh coat of paint. There were no screens. All the furniture was mismatched and in disrepair. The 2nd dresser was in the living area. The closet door had been broken and was replaced with a different door. The glass shower was door broken. The solution leave half the glass up and hang a rod with shower curtain behind it. When the central air was running water dripped from the bathroom ceiling. A kitchen cabinet was broken and not enough towels or washcloths.I notified the owner right away. We won't rent here again.
