Derry Hood's Pond Beach Hotels

"We were greet promptly and with a smile by a gentleman when checking in. Room was clean. We have only a few small issues, we were excited to eat at their little dining and bar spot and found it to be an inconvenience because they only had 1 employee running the kitchen and bar all while receiving room orders on top of people coming to be seated, the poor women was overwhelmed an had to shut down early because of to many orders and people in the bar. Another issue we booked for 4 people, the pull out couch didn't have an sheets or blankets on it and there were no extras in the closets or draws so we used some of the blankets on the beds as it was late an didn't bother calling the front desk to wait to get some sent as we just wanted to sleep. Then in the morning we didn't realize it until going to shower we were only provided 3 towels so we had to improvise there as well as one of us used a smaller one to dry off. But other than that it was a great stay an might stay again if in the area as it's close to the shopping malls. "

"Expedia app did an autofill while making the reservation, and wrote my name incorrectly without me noticing. Hotel could not check me in, after a long day driving."

"Room was clean and modern. Hot Tub was really hot and pool was great for kids. Gym facilities were great for the size. Staff were excellent and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and service was excellent. Property is showing its age in the corners. During our visit one elevator was not working so it was busy with one working to service all the floors. The elevator that was working was expired for its safety certification by 3 months. That in itself is telling with regards to priorities. Overall, our stay was really good, minus the concerns. "

"Our room was on a floor with a youth hockey team. The young boys ran through the hallways, yelling and screaming, and banged on our door well past 10 pm. We called security twice but they were not able to stop the kids.The hotel allegedly could not move us to another floor despite the fact when we checked in the staff joked with the couple ahead of us saying "Let's make sure you're on a higher floor because there are hockey teams on the lower ones." The same staff member checked us in and did not do that for us. We were unable to get a refund or voucher for another stay because we booked through Expedia.and not the hotel. I will never use Expedia again. "

"Room was clean. Front desk staff was seen only when I checked in. We entered and exited the buildings few times with no one at the desk. Random people were hanging around the lobby (non guests)"

"Room rate was awesome Great shower. Sheets were a little rough but I understand the need to bleach"
