Comfy Waterfront Stay
This is a true waterfront property with beach access. The main house has everything you need for a great stay. Comfortable furniture inside and out. 2 spacious bedrooms upstairs and a big open kitchen, dining and living space plus full bathroom downstairs. Dining and grill outside as well. The small cabin has a full bathroom and bedroom. Close to town.

Nice house noisy location
The house is very attractive and well equipped with a lovely deck overllooking the water. Unfortunately it is on a really busy road with big trucks constantly passing starting from quite early in the morning. We arrived in pouring rain and did not have the access code as it had been sent to the wrong email, and the VRBO communication function was not working so had to call several times to reach the agent to get the code. There were problems with the water supply to the surrounding houses and our water was turned off while the neighbours tried to fix things, which was ok as we went out so they could complete. The agent kindly offered to bring extra water but we said we did not need but appreciated the offer. Communication on departure was also disappointing the booklet in the house said vacate by 12pm and the app with our booking details said depart by 11am - we rang 3 times and spoke to the person at the agency who had no information and said she would speak to the correct person and confirm, we never received a call back so left by 11am leaving the house tidy as requested. Our overall view is that we liked the house but the location was not as good as we had hoped due to noise We did visit laske cushon in the nearby state park and found a lovely restaurant in a hotel in Union which was nice as we were there for my birthday and there was very little choice in Hoodsport unless you wanted basic pub food.

Lovely little place on the water
Found this to be a lovely little place right on the hood canal - very well appointed and modern - only downside was the road noise - but not too bad and overall a great place to stay

Exceeded Expectations
This place was a gem! Our portion of the beach was larger than I was expecting and the fenced in yard was perfect for our kiddo and pup. The house had everything we needed and although we ended up not needing the boathouse, I thought the addition of that space was great. The road noise was definitely a thing but it wouldn't detour me from renting this property again.

long overdue vacation time!
My husband and I had not had a vacation in over 5 years. We were so overdue to relax and have a place that we could take our dog. This was it! The yard is so secure that I never once worried about him. The spectacular views were something else. My favorite part was being able to listen to the waves and smell the fresh salt air. This was extremely hard to leave at the end of our vacation. A definite do over.

Great water views and access.
This is probably the best house near Hoodsport. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog, and to play lawn games while looking over the water. At high tide its a breeze to get your paddle boards or kayaks (bring your own) into the water. Yes you hear the traffic, but there is no other option if you want to be on the water, as all water front houses here are on route 101. There was a nice new large grill, and well stocked kitchen. We had a lovely time!

We really enjoyed our stay at Giggle Fish. The cabin was very clean and welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped and they even had bags for the dogs deposits in the yard. The beds were very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to possibly have a small air conditioner in the upstairs bedrooms because they tend to be pretty hot in the warm weather.

A peaceful relaxing get away in a wonderful house with spectacular views
Accessing the property was very easy and Jolene was very responsive, friendly, and helpful. The house has everything you need and was so clean, warm, inviting, and comfortable. The views were incredible and we loved the fenced large yard for our pup and the fire pit outside to enjoy in the evenings. The beds were super cozy and comfortable. Can't wait to go back!

Loved staying at Giggle fish. The location was perfect for a family vacation. Enjoyed the wildlife from the deck, hiking Mt Eleanor and staircases and the brewery. The house had everything—well stocked and very clean!!

Wonderful house!
Really a great house that’s fully stocked with everything you’ll need. Waterfront access, fully fenced yard and huge deck really made it special. Also about 5 mins drive to town where there’s grocery store, restraunts and bars. 20 minute drive to Lake Cushman (highly recommend). We had a wonderful time and would stay here again!

Great Time
The property was beautiful and set up well for dogs. Our party of women had a great time at the property celebrating our friends 60th birthday. The upstairs bedrooms were hot, but we quickly figured out how to cool it down. It might be really warm in the summer time. It was beautiful, we saw all kinds of wild life. It was fun!

My husband has been going through chemotherapy and the Giggle Fish was the perfect place to get away, relax and try and forget about things for awhile. We both agree that just watching the tide come and go was good for the soul. The Giggle Fish is relaxing, has charm and everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Its clean and the living room is cozy and comfortable. We hope to be back and stay in the future!

If I had a dream home, this is it!
Absolutely gorgeous! Right on the water where we had beach access and SCUBA dived right off the property. Came back and hung our gear on the fences and railings for it to dry and there was no wind to knock things around. We went inside and played board games and made dinner--it was awesome! The next night (after we dived at Sund Rock), we came home and had a nice little bonfire. We watched the sunset and roasted smores. The property was clean, well-furnished, and was an absolute paradise!

Lovely Getaway
We had to find last minute accommodations for us and our pups for as we had some work done at home. Jolene is an efficient and gracious manager; paperwork was straightforward and processes were intuitive. The house itself is charming and welcoming, clean and bright. We enjoyed a stormy day, watching the water, and the yard was wonderfully secure for the girls. We feel so fortunate to have found a space to welcome the whole family safely. There is a bit traffic noise during the day from the highway for those of us sensitive to such things, but the views, charming and well apportioned home, friendly Hoodsport, and great management make it more than worthwhile.

Perfect Getaway!
We had a wonderful time at Giggle Fish with our three month old puppy! The house is in a beautiful location and the fenced in yard is private and spacious. The beds are extremely comfortable and the house is equipped with a variety of kitchen utensils/pots/pans to make you feel right at home. Large windows in the bedroom and living room overlook the water to make you feel like you are truly on vacation. We had a fire in the fire pit with our coffee on Sunday morning as the sun rose over the water.

Gorgeous Waterfront Property!
6 adults and 2 pups had a great time! Wish we could have stayed longer. We had all sorts of weather, but still enjoyed the fire pit through it all! The stars shone so brightly at night. We all want to come back in the summer when Hoodsport must be a hopping little town! Thank you for having us.

Beautiful home
We were two couples staying here in late September for a long weekend. We loved having the main house and the small guest house - perfect, especially in these times of COVID. Both houses were very comfortable and clean with a well stocked kitchen. We were in the guest house which is a small bedroom with a 3/4 bathroom- perfect for us. Loved being right on the water.They have these nice rock carved steps going into the water - loved it and perfect for getting in and out for a swim! The only two things - based on the comments we thought there were kayaks for use but there weren’t (honestly maybe our mistake bc I’m not sure that’s in the listing), and during the day there is quite a bit of traffic noise. But - being right on the water, seeing porpoises, herons, and seals all day, on this lovely piece of property outweighed the noise for me. But if you really want something quiet, this may not be the place for you.

We had an amazing time, the view is stunning and the private beach and big yard make really easy to social distance! The house is spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. Only one thing to consider. The house is on a busy street and the noise of the cars needs to be taken into consideration.

Absolutely lovely
This was the refresh getaway our family needed. We ate our meals al fresco while watching birds and seals and listening to the waves. We swam and hiked at Lake Cushman and took a kayaking tour through Hood Canal Adventures. The kitchen is well stocked. While we ate most of our meals in, we did try takeout from the Burgershack and Hoodsport Pizza. Jolene was a great communicator and very friendly. She made the rental process very smooth. Our 20 year old loved having the bedroom over the boathouse to herself, and our 16 year old twins spent hours combing the waterfront for shells and little crab. Was wonderful to be able to bring our two dogs with us, and the fenced yard made it even better. I hope to be back with my mom and two sisters next summer.

Can't wait to come back - don't want to leave
Jolene is a fantastic host. Although we got off to a bit of a rocky start with checking in and getting a hold of each other (COVID-19 played a huge part of this), the place upon moving in was spotless. and in the days of COVID-19 it was extremely important. We do appreciate the in person check up to make sure all was good. This is our 3rd time here and will be coming back here throughout the summer and fall. It is a great place to have have the 2 small dogs given a fully fenced yard, and waiting up to the waves of Hood Canal was breathless. The amenities were great; the only thing to bring is your own food. Even though the house sits right on highway 101, the noise from the road is minimal. thank you Jolene!

Wonderful stay and we can’t wait to come back. Having a fenced yard for the two dogs was great. The light on the fence on the street side was not working which made it very dark at night. Everything else was fantastic.

Great Spot on Hood Canal
We enjoyed our trip to the Giggle Fish. The cabin was clean, well appointed. The beds were comfortable. Our dogs loved the fenced property. We were a little concerned with how close the home was to the road, but it ended up not being a huge deal as we got used to the noise. Overall, we would stay here again.

Hoodsport getaway
The place was great..for the money we spent there were a few disappointmenting things: 1. We were getting low on toilet paper and dish soap..even though they provided it, we ran out.. I called the property Management company and was told we don't get any more..they refused to send house cleaning to refill the items.. 2. 2 large windows have been compromised..the windows need to be replaced because you can see the beautiful water and scenery. 3. They do provide kayaks however the foot pedals were missing and one of the kayaks were very small for an adult. Overall the stay was very good and the kitchen was completely equipped with everything you could imagine.. We own 2 vacation rentals ourselves and one of them is operated by a property Management company..I expect more from Vacation 365 then they provided.

Self-caterer's Dream Rental
One of the most nicely appointed and equipped vacation rentals I have ever experienced. Plenty of high-quality cookware and service ware, a real boon for those who like to self-cater. Propane grill is large, clean and ably-powered. I think clamming requires a very low tide, but oysters were excellent and plentiful on our average lows. Fully stocked market 2 miles away. Board games, binoculars, kayaks, fire pit, and a very large TV with cable & easy HDMI access will keep everyone entertained. Wifi speeds first-rate--amazing considering the location. Yes, there's a state highway adjacent, but the traffic noise soon fades into the background. Shower is hot and has good pressure. Beds are definitely on the soft side and might be due for new mattresses soon, but there's plenty of clean, fresh bedding, pillows, blankets, etc. The boathouse bed is smaller than a queen, so best for kids, one adult, or two adults of smaller size. In all, I give Giggle Fish two enthusiastic thumbs up, will recommend to friends, and would definitely return. Cheers to all involved in its outfitting, operations and maintenance!

Great trip!
We really enjoyed Giggle Fish. It’s a little loud so close to the highway, but you soon forget it because the house and yard and the water are so great. I would definitely stay again. Proximity to Lake Cushman and Olympic National Park were a huge bonus.

Nice Hideaway on the Hood Canal
We rented this while staying near our wedding venue so we and our out of town guests could relax and enjoy the canal for the weekend they were here. It provided a nice private room for us while being able to socialize with our guests for meals and a nice fire on the bulkhead. The views are wonderful, the house was set up with everything you could imagine. Our only problem was addressed by the property manager quickly. We will definitely stay here again!

Little gem in a beautiful setting
Giggle Fish is a comfortable cottage on the scenic Hood Canal. We were able to see many water fowl and seals as they swam in front of the home. The two upstairs bedrooms have a spectacular view. The beds are near the window so you can lie in bed and see the night sky. The bathroom is a decent size with a well functioning tub and shower. Kitchen is well appointed with a good variety of utensils and cookware (even SHARP knives). Linens are quality. The cottage is located within easy driving distance to many hiking trails and parks. Unfortunately, the waterfalls hiking trail nearest to Hoodsport was closed during our stay but many other trails were available. The grocery store in Hoodsport was surprisingly well stocked. We would definitely stay at the property again.

Beautiful spot to enjoy Hood Canal!
We had a great trip at the Giggle Fish! Despite recent snow storms downing a few branches and snow piled up in the parking area, a little shoveling make quick work of the problem. Derek was responsive to any issues that arose and was very helpful and accommodating. The house is just as described, kayaks were easily accessed and beds were comfortable and clean. Hoodsport grocery is a minute away, and lots of parks and nature trails to visit made every day a bit of exploring and a lot of relaxing. Our kids already want to go back--thanks!

They've thought of everything here!
You feel very well taken care of here. Everything is provided, the location is so pretty right on the water and we loved the fenced yard for our little dog. The third bedroom and second bathroom in the listing is in a little separate cabin and would be so fun for a group. Parking is on a busy road but it was fine for us. We were there in February so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor area but it would be amazing in better weather.
