「The primary complaint is the self check and process. We’re not prepared by Expedia or Elk Antler Inn. The room got down to 60° before the facility turned on the baseboard heat. Typical older bathroom with water, stains, poor caulking, etc.. The room was clean, and the bedding was great. The photo attached was typical of our experience. 「It’s kind of tacky. Red carpet and green walls but it was clean. It’s old fashioned.」

「The floor in my cabin was slanting as one side of the cabin was sinking into the ground, the toilets in both cabins we stayed in were loose to the floor and wobbled when you sat on it, when we tried to cook in both kitchens we blew both cabins fuses, the sink in one cabin had hoses attached for faucets, and I couldnt turn my tv off because then the satalite had to be reset. Would not stay here again.」

「The Tipi Retreat had all necessary amenities and then some. Owners clearly anticipated any needs from heated blankets, a coffee maker, outdoor heater to twinkle lights. The beds were very comfortable and the scenery was outstanding. There were only port-a potties on site but as a family used to camping, we didn’t mind. The hotsprings that were open in town were not to our liking but the Tipi Resort is a definite must if you’re staying in the area.」

「The cabin is on a ranch on a 1 mile gravel road. It's a little rough around the edges. However, it was adequate for our purpose. They have made many upgrades to the cabin, AC, modern appliances, a tank less hot water heater, and new laminate flooring throughout the cabin. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. The steps going up to the porch are uneven and there is no hand rail.
