My review is solely based on my booking, and check-in experience, as I was unable to actually stay at the property due to it being double booked. I booked the property for our family getaway for the Holiday weekend and waited on check-in details (specifically the door code, as we did receive the house address via the original confirmation email), which are usually received within 24 hours of the check-in time, which is standard process with VRBO. However, I never received the check-in details, nor a response back from the Host.Staying hopeful, we pulled up to the home we booked and found that there was already a family checked in. I immediately contacted VRBO, who did a great job to remediate the issue. Despite my frustration, the contact center representative was compassionate and worked diligently to find alternatives to accommodate my family and me. Unfortunately, there weren't any homes available in the area, so we had to book with another platform. However, the customer service team exhausted all of their options to accommodate us and also compensated for the mishap.It was definitely an unfortunate situation that inconvenienced my family and me, but VRBO did a great job assisting us in resolving the issue. It could have been much worse, considering that many of the family members are not from the area and depended on the home to accommodate us for the Holiday weekend. Many of the homes in the area were already booked as well due to the Holiday.
