A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to clean rainwater to bathe and drink. Split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.
Guest Access: Guests can access the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.
We are a pet-friendly accommodation – just let your host Sharryn know at least 24 hrs before arrival for approval, as all pets must be pre-approved and kept on a leash at all times.
- Pet fee: $30 per pet per booking (payable upfront to the host) - Fill out the pet approval form and attach proof of payment. The full pet policy will be sent to you before arrival.
The Neighborhood: Maggie’s Farm Stay by Tiny Away is a cozy rural escape in Howes Valley, just one hour from Newcastle and two hours from Sydney. It’s a great spot for a relaxing holiday near restaurants, wineries, and natural attractions.
You can visit Wollombi Markets for supplies, enjoy a walk at Hunter Valley Gardens, or go horse riding at Chapman Valley. Yengo National Park is nearby with beautiful views, hiking, biking, and off-road driving.
Wine lovers will enjoy the Hunter Valley’s 150+ wineries, snacks and drinks at Grey Gum Café, and the historic Audrey Wilkinson vineyard.

- 1 hr drive from Newcastle - 2 hrs drive from Sydney
By public transport: We recommend guests to travel by private vehicle as there are no public transports that travels directly from our property. Thank you.
Other Things to Note: - Mobile reception is poor - No smoking allowed on the property - Expect abundant wildlife on the property - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Wi-Fi is available but only works near the Tiny House, not at the front gate or further away. - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge - Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.
Safety guidelines
- Don’t wear open-toed shoes during snake season or when walking outdoors - Please keep an eye on your children, as there are unfenced dams on the site - PLEASE READ: Campfires are allowed with owner’s permission, except during total fire bans. No campfires in summer due to fire season.
Important note:
- Drive 5 mins along Putty Rd to use roadside bins for free trash disposal, or leave it outside the house for a $25 fee. - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
