“Property is dated but well maintained. Our room was recently refurnished, with a very comfortable new bed. And fresh clean sheets. but we the walls were thin and we heard our neighbor’s tv all night until we got up at 6 am There was coffee in the office every morning at 6 but only powder creamer, not real milk. The manager Chris was very friendly and helpful. the motel honored my special request for extra blankets.”

“The property was clean and modern. Would help to have better road signage and road entrance markings. The road side is very loud with trucks using brake retarders early in the morning. Should not be allowed in small towns and rural areas in my view. It is nice to have a clean and well maintained hotel for frequent family visits.”

“I recently stayed in a Choice brand hotel in Newark, NJ, which was a disappointment. My Northlands Motel booking involved a last-minute change of plans, and I didn’t realize it was part of the same chain, which isn’t the hotel brand I normally stay in. I’m glad I didn’t know that, as I might have assumed the experience would be comparable and passed. It turned out to be much better than the hotel. “The staff/managers let people around 40-50 adults and teens to have alcohol and party in the lobby until after 2:00 AM on Friday night and I asked for a different room on another floor and they said no. On Saturday night it was a repeat of Friday night in which I got a video of the staff/managers allowing the partying and drinking again.. They also allowed drinking and underage partying in the parking lot with loud music until after midnight. The lobby was filled with about 60 people……
