The house was beautiful, nicely appointed, and well maintained. The views are really stunning and just a lovely base camp for all the activities that are in the area. Everybody had their own space and for the most part, everything was neat and clean.
I always bring my own knives, and spices and stuff, since I like to cook and don't like to have surprises, but the house was fairly appointed. They do need more basic cutlery, but this was the only issue with respect to provisioning.
The only issue is that the A/C unit, did not function normally and was in need of service. In fairness, the days we were there were sweltering (consistently low to mid 90's). That unit was having to deal with a massive amount of space, which it was maybe not rated for however, the temp at best that it was achieving indoors was between 78-80 degrees. Not exactly comfortable, and made sleeping difficult, especially upstairs. We did run the fans, which got air moving but it didn't cool until the wee hours of the AM, and then the process would start again. Now, I placed a call into Vacasa's support line the first day I was there, as the A/C unit was also draining back into house with water dripping all over the floor. Thankfully they had a cooler and a large couple buckets to catch the water that was draining indoors. This was not a fun task to have to deal with while we were vacationing, but the alternative would've been bad for the homeowner since they would have massive water damage as this cycle went on for days. With that said, Vacasa's rep, said that someone would attend to it and follow up with us. This communication and follow through never came in our 6 day / 5 night stay, which is a bit a miss from Vacasa's standpoint. I do understand there was a weekend in there, which makes things tricky, however you are a service business and these kinds of things will come up....thus the 3 stars. Clearly the A/C unit is in need of service with some kind of blockage or coil not evaporating correctly, but Vacasa should more readily follow up. I actually reached out again to their support via email through the app and got nothing.
In short I would consider staying at the house again, but I'm not sure that I will use Vacasa, as there are other alternatives and perhaps with better customer service. My decision there will largely be predicated on how they follow up with my open inquiry and support request that was placed with them pursuant to my stay.
