「We were very nervous about this property because Expedia/VRBO did a horrible job of communicating check in .. instead of telling us to contact the host all they need to stay is that keys would be available. That barge is not pretty from the outside, but amazing and unique . Great beds, view of the harbor, and big shower are just a few of the cool feature. We had ducks and swans passing by our window all evening. The location could not be better, across from two good restaurants and a bar....

「We had a lovely time in the property, the house was great and the welcome basket was a perfect touch! Part of the reason we chose to come was for its proximity to the two Machrihanish courses but we didn't quite realise how great the beaches are as well! If we ever come back to the area, we would definitely look to stay hear again.」

「My daughter and I absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Lochead Chalet. It's in a wonderful spot right on the loch side, and oh my it is so very peaceful! The chalet itself was a perfect size for we two adults and our little dogs and we found it very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Karlina in the Ellary estate office was lovely too. A beautiful location for a holiday and a charming place to stay - highly recommended. 」

「What a fantastic house, every window had a picture-perfect view of either the water and surrounding Isles or rolling farmland hills. Easy to walk down to the rocky beach, up along the hills or drive into town, taking in the fresh sea air. The host Polly had great communication and sent a detailed booklet on the house and activities around the area. The house was very well equipped for a large family, a home away from home. Highly recommend...we will be returning!」
