I was worried because I missed my train and was stranded in the area. I booked and got to the hotel after 10pm but the staff were welcoming and understanding. I really appreciated them! Slept very well!
The owner is very nice. same as the staff. very comfortable Japanese style hotel. Location is the best. walkable To Izu-kogen station and convenient stores.
The onsen baths were really lovely. The room was beautiful. The staff were so helpful. Only critisism is that is smelled a bit musty, but there was a typhoon outside so that probably wasnt helping
The property is a bit dated but still very clean. But we won’t describe our room as spacious as we barely had any room left after laying the bed (even though we booked a triple room). Breakfast was descent.
Very friendly staff, the room is huge, breakfast is great. There is no bathroom in the room, but they have the typical Japanese public bath which is actually very nice
Hinodeya was convenient to the train station and beach/nature park. Breakfast and especially dinner were outstanding. It was easy to take walks. I recommend a stay at Hinodeya and I will return.
A great place to stay, I loved the TV room with full body massage chair (free) and the games including Go. The meals were delicious as were the local area Mikan oranges the proprietor put out for guests. I’m definitely returning to Hinodeya and highly recommend it.
I had a very nice experience when having stayed at Hinodeya Ryokan with 2 nights. The place is very clean, with spacious quiet Japanese style room which can give you a very nice place to take rest. And I really enjoyed my stay in Izukogen. It is a lovely countryside place, with nice environment. The hotel owner is also very nice to provide pick up service and give free drive to nearby tourist spots.

Fabulous stay at Hinodeya Ryokan
Great hospitality! Excellent location within blocks from supermarket, restaurants and Izukogen station.
One thing I wanna specifically mention: our host offered us half price of one of our 5 night’s stay because they did not make up our room. It is super nice of them, n greatly appreciated.
Highly recommended ryokan for anyone coming to Izukogen!
The hosts were amazing. Totally went above and beyond! I was offered to be driven to Omurayama. They also offered to drive me back but I opted for the bus (for the experience!) Also, I was super impressed by one of the female workers speaking so many languages! I'm also a super picky eater but the traditional breakfast was amazing. Last but not least, when I checked out I was given the offer to drive me to the station. They're just such lovely and kind people!
