Wake up to the magic of fall at The Golden Kettle Cottage, where cozy comfort meets breathtaking lake views. After a restful night in one of our plush beds, start your morning with coffee from our full-size 12-cup duo coffee maker—whether you want a steaming pot to share or a single cup to sip solo. We provide a selection of coffee and tea to make mornings easy and inviting.

Step outside with your mug wrapped in a soft throw and breathe in the crisp autumn air. Golden leaves frame the lake, and if you’re lucky, you might spot white pelicans gliding by. Fall and winter offer the clearest views of the water, with fiery sunsets you won’t soon forget.

Nature & Wildlife

Nestled on nearly two acres, the cottage is surrounded by fall foliage and wildlife. Deer often wander through, while cardinals, blue jays, and our cheeky resident chipmunk, Theodore, make frequent appearances. Evenings are perfect for gathering around the firepit or chiminea—roast marshmallows, sip cider, and watch the stars.

Lake Adventures

If you’re bringing a boat, our circle drive has plenty of space. A natural boat ramp sits just half a mile away (best for smaller boats/shallow entry), while deeper access points with docks are available 15 minutes away near Grove/Honey Creek.

Want a quieter experience? Head to the “beach” point nearby for kayaking or just soaking in the sunset. Two kayaks are included—just bring life jackets and transport them the short distance down the road. Cooler days still make for stunning lakeside strolls.

Comfort & Amenities

Inside, you’ll find an open-plan living space with plenty of seating and a 55” smart TV. Curl up by the electric fireplace with a blanket and your favorite movie after a day outdoors.

The kitchen is fully equipped with:

Full-size fridge, gas stove, microwave

Air fryer, blender, toaster, food processor

Waffle maker & duo coffee maker

Gather for meals or games at the dining table for six.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Master Bedroom: Queen bed + queen sleeper sofa, Pack-N-Play, smart TV

Meadow Room: Queen daybed with queen trundle + a hanging egg chair for reading nooks

Need to balance work with play? A desk with a lake view, printer, and keyboard make remote work easy. High-speed Wi-Fi runs throughout. Washer and dryer included.

Pet-Friendly Retreat

Bring up to two dogs (pet fee $50 each). Please crate pets when unattended and supervise them outdoors—this is a rural escape, and safety comes first.

No smoking or parties

Respect quiet hours—this is a serene neighborhood

No trespassing on the private property / docks across the street

Water access is public at the end of the road (private docks are off-limits)

Check-in: 4:00 p.m. | Check-out: 11:00 a.m.

Please wash dishes & take out trash before leaving
