"The setting and gardens were fabulous, as was the food and dining experience in the main dining room. The rooms and furniture in the lounge are a bit dated, has that 80's feel. Could use a bit of updatig. Can't say enough about the overall setting, views and dining..."

"The hotel was clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly. We utilized the Tavern bar, the Spa, and the pool area. We had excellent massages and followed up with extra time in the steam room and outdoor hot tub. We also spent time wandering through the property and the gardens. All in all, it was so relaxing! The only negative I would say is that when we entered the main building we noticed a musty smell in the hallways. Not sure if it is older rugs or the woodwork but would have appreciated a fresher cleaner smell."

"A very beautiful property expertly and lovingly maintained by the hosts. Breakfast was sensational, one of the best you will ever experience. The room was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Parking was onsite and adequate. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our only complaint is that we had Room 3, and it faces the Main Street. Traffic was constant and woke us up several times. It was only a two lane remote road so you wouldn't think so, but it must be the only cut through from east to west in the area. I would love to stay here again, but only in a room further from the road."

"Very nice stay overall. Booked a room with a deck and expected to be looking at a gorgeous mountain scene, not the parking area. On the bright side however, our room was next to a charging station, a pleasant perk for our Tesla! The room was small, but clean and had all the essentials. Coffee service great the first morning of our stay and a bit “slap dash” the second. The hallways were a bit noisy when guests came and went. The service team was professional and friendly. This property is very attractive and well situated on the Mountain Road in Stowe. They have a nice indoor pool and a sauna, which I enjoyed daily. This lodge is an excellent value for the price … and my wife and I would consider returning the next time we visit Stowe."

"The Commadores Inn shows its age, but it is clean and the staff are great! The area by the pond is beautiful and the indoor pool most helpful for me."
