Summary:
Roadrunner Ridge is a Spanish-style modern retreat at the end of a Joshua Tree road, surrounded by five private acres of desert and boulders. Follow walking trails through the property, swim beneath the rocky ridgeline, or unwind in the saltwater hot tub. As night falls, gather around the fire pit beneath the stars. With three ensuite bedrooms and inviting spaces indoors and out, it's a wonderful place for friends and families to slow down and enjoy the desert together.
The Space:
Large windows and skylights bring the desert into nearly every room, framing rocky hills, Joshua trees, and distant mountains. Polished concrete floors, warm wood, and natural textures give the home an easygoing character, while the open layout keeps everyone connected. The generous dining table, comfortable living room, and covered patio make gathering feel effortless, whether you're sharing a meal, settling in for a movie, or spending the afternoon outside.
Beyond the house, the landscape is part of the experience. Boulder formations rise around the property, walking trails invite exploration, and more than 1,000 acres of protected land stretch beyond its five private acres. There is plenty to enjoy without going anywhere, yet downtown Joshua Tree and the national park are within easy reach when adventure calls.

There's also a dedicated yoga area with mats for anyone who prefers a slower start.
The in-ground saltwater pool sits against a backdrop of rocky hills, with loungers arranged along the deck for afternoons in the sun. Nearby, the saltwater hot tub offers another way to unwind, especially as the desert begins to cool in the evening. Back at the house, a wood-beamed covered patio provides shade, seating, and a hammock for an afternoon with a book or a well-earned nap.
Outdoor dining and a propane BBQ make it easy to bring meals outside, while cornhole adds a little friendly competition. As the sun sets, the fire pit becomes a natural gathering place. Settle into the Adirondack chairs, watch the last light move across the mountains, and enjoy the stars that emerge over this designated dark-sky area.
-Living Area-
Bright, welcoming, and designed for spending time together, the living room balances clean modern lines with comfortable furnishings and natural textures. A leather sofa, spacious cushioned seating, and a rustic wood coffee table create a relaxed place to gather, while generous windows keep the surrounding desert in view.
Sliding glass doors open onto the covered patio, bringing fresh air and the outdoors into the flow of the home. Settle in for a movie on the TV, enjoy a quiet afternoon reading, or simply catch up around the coffee table after a day exploring Joshua Tree.
The living room also features a Koala queen sofa bed, providing additional sleeping space for larger groups.
-Kitchen and Dining-
The kitchen is well suited to cooking and sharing meals at home, with warm wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and a breakfast bar where guests can pull up a stool while dinner comes together.
It's fully stocked with the essentials for preparing meals, along with Joshua Tree Coffee Co. coffee to start the morning. The open layout makes it easy to cook while staying part of the conversation in the adjoining dining and living areas.
A substantial wood dining table seats eight beneath pendant lighting, with desert views through the surrounding windows. For meals in the fresh air, additional outdoor dining spaces provide a change of scenery, whether you're serving lunch after a swim or grilling dinner as the evening cools.
