Whole house with fenced yards near the JT village and west national park entrance.
Super clean and nicely decorated 2 bedroom, 1 bath. Two queen-sized beds.
Fenced yards ideal for well trained dog . We request you bring separate bedding, keep off couch and beds, clean up in the yard and keep quiet. Sounds travel far in the desert!
Central heat & air & fans. Includes all utilities.
Private wifi and a bluetooth speaker for streaming music or tv on your device. Record player and vinyl records. Board games, books, cards are provided for good old unplugged fun.
Handicap friendly - No stairs inside or out.
Nice views of mountains to north and west, Joshua Tree valley to southwest. Big shade tree and Joshua trees in yard too.
Fully equipped kitchen for home cooking or heating up left-overs. Bathroom has shower and tub which is great for soaking after a hike.
Near National Park Entrance, coffee houses, restaurants, health food, gas, general supplies.

Perfect Location & Clean

Nice size house with all the amenities including toiletries and kitchen items - drip coffee maker too. Quiet location and close the entrances of Joshua Tree National Park. Good communications with host. Wonderful coffee shop right down the road (Joshua Tree Coffee Company). Perfect and cozy in every way with nice art as well. Thank you!

What more can I say about this great little rental? It was perfect for our visit to Joshua Tree. The hammock was perfect after eating too many Christmas tamales! The record player was fun! And the chocolates were delicious !

Centrally located edge-of-town bungalow

The Type Inn is a most comfortable and well-equipped home away from home, beautifully decorated with the owner's art. It suited our needs perfectly and we had a wonderful stay.

The Type Inn was eclectic and cute. A good value. Very close to town. Super clean. Now this isn’t a deal breaker, but I would have preferred better bedding and the kitchen dishes, utensils, glasses and pots and pans were all mismatched. Overall it was a great location for our reunion in Joshua Tree.

Nice place but way to much air freshener

The property is as advertised. The neighborhood was quiet. Overall an enjoyable experience. However, someone went crazy with the air freshener. The house, towels, sheets, pillows just reeked and even after 4 days was still way to strong. It was like living in a box of fabreeze dryer sheets.

Made our stay extra special!

The Type Inn is a gem! The layout, ambiance, vibe and eclectic art/artifacts made our stay extra special. We enjoyed returning after our days spent exploring Joshua Tree National Park. Close to JTNP and the town for food, shops, etc. It was apparent that our host enjoyed creating a place and environment (including the yard) that would be unique and memorable. One of my favorite VRBO stays!

Joshua Tree gem

The Type Inn is clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient. Keyless entry was easy to use. The house was spotless. It’s on the edge of town but only two blocks from the street that leads into the national park entrance that is the absolute best of JTNP’s three entry points. There was very little street traffic. Birds provided the ambient noise. Heat/AC system, kitchen and bathroom plumbing all worked perfectly. In addition to the park, this rental offers easy access to Palm Springs, Pioneertown and La Copine, the wonderful foodie mecca. The house is charming and cozy. A great value!

My fiancée and I wanted to spend our anniversary together in Joshua Tree. The Typewriter Inn was absolutely perfect! Great location, very nice home, and terrific communication with the owner. We will absolutely be coming back.

Great Location & Vintage Flair

We went to Joshua tree for my husband's birthday. The Type Inn was the perfect place to stay, very close to the National Park and some cute artistic shops. Loved the typewriters and especially the record player. It was cold and snowing on our visit but it was nice and cozy stay- hope to visit again.

This was a fun place to stay very close to the entrance to the park. If you've never seen a typewriter or a vinyl record player before it's kind of a treat. The house is very responsive.

Cozy, bright, and quiet home with lovely views!

Cozy and bright two-bedroom, one bathroom house with a large, comfy seating area (couch and recliner). There is no television but honestly during our three-night stay we never missed it. This is the place to rent if you need a yard for your K9(s). Large, completely fenced corner lot with a number of cozy seating areas. From the front yard you can see a lot of the valley which was especially beautiful at night. If you plan to cook there you might want to bring your own essentials (we needed cooking spray and a sheet pan) but is mostly stocked for simple meals. Very quiet location with a tiny bit of vehicle traffic and some foot traffic and overall very quiet. Nice neighborhood to take a stroll. Is located less than a mile from the main boulevard that runs through Joshua Tree which was super convenient. We already reserved our dates for next year!

Absolutely PERFECT

My wife and I stayed at the Type Inn for just under two months. It's in the perfect location from downtown JT & extremely convenient for traveling into the National Park. You're able to witness the beauty of the area's sunrise and sunset every day. AMAZING. We absolutely love it, and to be honest, didn't want to leave. The house came equipped with literally everything we needed, plus more. Communicating with Louise (the owner), was an absolute breeze. She was super nice and very prompt to answer any questions that we had during our stay. I could go on and on...10/10 recommend!

The house had just what we needed, we enjoyed using the typewriters, reading books, playing board games, listening to music. Our dog had fun running around the yard. The location was great too; close to one of the national park’ s entrance and close to stores.
